I'm gonna be honest y'all, it's felt dark lately, and for good reason, LGBTQ+ rights in the balance, an election coming up, women struggling to get basic Healthcare, mass shootings, SCOTUS, the environment. The list goes on and on, and the media twists everything to sound even worse, or just straight up ignores actual news. But here's the thing, I know a lot of you, and the fact that you exist in the world gives me hope. You care about the future and you want good things, and so do I, and as long as that spark is there, we have hope. So, let's focus on some good today! Share a good headline, some positive news either on a larger scale or just something personal, a nice picture you took, a funny meme or video, whatever made you feel good or at least, gave you a smile. Let's share some joy!

Which, as you know, was the lesson.

Push back and we (govt) will lock you into a small space with no medical care surrounded by any and all walks of life. If you struggle with any medical weaknesses they will be brutally exploited.

But it's acceptable, because we will expunge the permanent record of the event and explain that is reconciliation.

Yes, very few people make a living doing art, and even fewer make a living doing the art they want. Maybe this is just me, but it seems like there's something about art that is anti-fascist and anti-capitalist. Authoritarians fear self expression, arts always seem the first to go when things get more conservative, and yet it has never stopped us. If they take everything away, we will draw on cave walls with charcoal from a fire, make dolls of corn husks, carve bones into beads, make bowls of mud, write stories in blood, make musical instruments out of anything, we will remember our history through song. We will pass these things down as evidence that we could never completely be silenced, we were here, we matter.

We delineate between Arts & Sciences, and I have said that "Science is the how, the art is the why"

Science taught us about gravity, lights, and sounds. That was great and helpful.

We couldn't have made Rocky Horror Picture Show without understanding those things. That is good. We needed Rocky canonically in our timeline. I'm glad science was there to help.

But if we only had science and no art...we wouldn't have RHPS and that would make humanity darker and less able to understand itself. That is tragic, in my mind.

Donald Trump screws workers over and barely, if at all, cares about his own voters, let alone anyone who didn’t vote for him. He thinks he can round up his opposition if he wants to, apparently.

Joe Biden takes care of workers, even those who didn’t vote for him. That’s kind of how he does things.

Until they are barred from entering the building. Then they should bullhorn from the street.
Then outside their homes, businesses, vacations, churches, funerals of their dead, weddings of their loved ones.

If a lawmaker is okay with guns and gun lobbies, we should make them unemployed.

I have mentioned it a few times in the past but I don't know if I have ever mentioned it in it's own post?

In the past I was encouraged to do voice over work. My vocal range is rather low and if prompted I can sound similar to the "Voice of God" narrators you hear in Trailers -
"In a world of..."
"One man..." those kind of lines.

You likely haven't heard me, or if you did - it was either mundane or in a compilation.

However, unlike Sam Elliot, most studios aren't willing to send a car to hear me talk. :blobcatgiggle:

The REASON I bring all that is is secondary but explains what I'm going to say below.

Some VO work is voice matching. You're familiar you just might not be aware. They'll pay people who sound close enough to the famous person to "fix it in post".

Years ago someone sent me a cover of "Katy Perry's - Dark Horse" as done by various My Little Pony characters.
It was kind of cool, she matches very well.

It's disheartening to see people who otherwise seem to have logic and reasoning, become caught up in the emotional group thinks being deployed on the American people.

The self-righteous anger, the looking down on allies and viewing things through a lens of "win" and "lose" isn't your lens, it's theirs, but they have tricked you and you have forgotten yourself.

This isn't written well. I'm on my phone, in a fight with my cat, and scrolling through media wondering how.

How is it possible that people who are absolutely going to be incarcerated and murdered when the GOP takes over, how it is possible for them to hashtag righteousness.

I know the machine, I know the marketing. I know how. But I maintain hope, or try, that people will choke down the desire to feel superior to the camera man and look at the world stage.

They care if you scribble in something. But it's desire. They WANT YOU to scribble in something and invalidate your voice!

Research how regimes are toppled or you will personally witness it.
