Are there any @FreeCAD gurus around here ?
I'm looking for advice/help on how to apply a subtractive pipe to create a groove in a (weirdly) curved surface.
The surface is green in the pictures below.
This is a support for an electronic device and I'm trying to "hide" the power cable by "clipping it" in one of the 3 legs.
Happy to share a FCStd file if needed. #FreeCAD 0.21
Anyone with the #Biqu H2 V2S? I love it but I don't understand how is the tensioner screw is supposed to work.
What does the screw do? What is supposed to do the actual compression of the spring? It doesn't seem to do anything at all. The screw moves up and down when screwing but no compression of the spring is taking place.
@stooovie Looks like it is possibly fitted incorrectly. If the grove under the head was placed in the slot, would screwing it in move the nut up and down tensioning the spring?
#cats#cat once again asking for a cat toy "type" identification
My cats have a toy like this, ball with a feather on top, except it STANDS UP due to weights, so they can play with it on their own. I search every combo of feather ball upright on amazon, nothing.
Many balls like this but it doesn't self-right. I want one like that. Shine loved his but somehow broke it and it doesn't stand up anymore. I don't even know how.
Almost every day I unplug these 3 cables, & take my laptop to the living room. The next morning I have to plug them all in again. For years I've wished someone made a dock that would let me just pull them out and shove them back in in one go.
I just realized that
a) i have a 3D printer
b) i now know how to use a CAD program that'd make modeling that pretty easy.
@masukomi I do all my designs in #FreeCAD, doesn't have any of those licence limits that all the other "free" CAD packages have as they don't have a paid version they want you to use.
Cool KDE Plasma Tip: Quickly access task manager apps with [Meta] + [number]
@kde's task manager usually lives in the panel located by default at the bottom of your desktop (see attached image).
Quickly open or display apps shown in the task manager by holding down the [Meta] (aka "Windows") key and hitting one of the number keys at the top of your keyboard.
Reach the first app on the left with [Meta] + [1], the second from the left with [Meta] + [2], etc.
@diazona@Bro666@rriemann@kde@kde there are still updates of the source code. There is a PPA for Ubuntu, but that hasn't been updated for a while. It is fairly easy to compile.
Today is the first day in nearly two months that my 3D printer hasn’t been printing white PETG filament. Also, it’s the first print job in that span that’s been less than 14 hours.
Google has added a new TLD (top level domain), .ing -- act now, you could own the below domain! (Apologies for the use of a four letter word, it was the first thing to come to mind of "ing" words) #TLD#domains
Oh, an ugly bug with #OrcaSclicer, and adaptive slicing, and tree support. With adaptive slicing, the tree structure is too small.
Without adaptive slicing, the tree support reaches the painted area.
Btw., also #Klipper runs in calculation issues (the max layer amount and current layer is not in sync with variable layer size), but this tree error in Orca is a more certain bug.
