So I had this option on but wasn't reminded about not having ALT text when sending a gif from my photo album (on iOS)

The confirmation worked perfectly with a still image however.

The NeoVibe.app instance has been slowly growing. However, one thing I want to make sure of, is that the instance doesn't become too big.

The power of the & software like is to have smaller instances spread out. We've seen what happens when instances get too big when run by a small team. 😔

I think a 1000 - 5000 member instance is the stopping point for myself before I would pause registration. As we should make the Fedi as enjoyable as we can for those here.

If people keep seeing instances shut down because the bit off more than they could chew... this place won't gain adoption. This is one of those rare moments when staying small is a way to grow larger as a whole.

Been experimenting on a feature that shows the first post which have been replied to, on main feeds. What frustrates me a lot is to see those replies that I don't know context of. I have to click myself through the conversation to the first post.

It would help tremendously to see the first post directly.

Implemented hiding top nav when scrolling down on . Thanks @ikkeT for the idea! A bit unorthodox way since I'm not expert in JS, but it works! @rolle yesss!! Love this update! I hope in the future on iPhone, the bottom bar can be moved up a bit. Apple has that weird white bar at the bottom of the screen that loves to get in the way.

One thing I think Mastodon is missing is "hover cards" where you can get info on a user by just hovering over their username. kbin does this, Mastodon does not. So on Mastodon you need to visit a user's profile to get basic info about them and your relationship.

Whew.. this Kbin and Lemmy stuff is making me dizzy. Kbin seems like the way to go, but it's also very new and in beta. Lemmy is a bit more stable but seems to come with its own set of issues.
