One thing I think Mastodon is missing is "hover cards" where you can get info on a user by just hovering over their username. kbin does this, Mastodon does not. So on Mastodon you need to visit a user's profile to get basic info about them and your relationship.

MY THOUGHTS ON THREADS!

  1. UI is decently ok. Very similar to Instagram, obviously. That's the point, is to make you feel comfortable from the get go.

  2. The feed being everything and everyone is not good. We need a toggle to show following, latest, and stuff like that.

  3. Not being able to like or comment on a post directly from the notification screen is annoying. I don't want to click a notification, go into the post/comment to do what I want.

Been experimenting on a feature that shows the first post which have been replied to, on main feeds. What frustrates me a lot is to see those replies that I don't know context of. I have to click myself through the conversation to the first post.

It would help tremendously to see the first post directly.

Whew.. this Kbin and Lemmy stuff is making me dizzy. Kbin seems like the way to go, but it's also very new and in beta. Lemmy is a bit more stable but seems to come with its own set of issues.

Implemented hiding top nav when scrolling down on . Thanks @ikkeT for the idea! A bit unorthodox way since I'm not expert in JS, but it works! @rolle yesss!! Love this update! I hope in the future on iPhone, the bottom bar can be moved up a bit. Apple has that weird white bar at the bottom of the screen that loves to get in the way.

@cliffwade Yea I've been a bit weary on joining many of them infosec is one of my favorites. Also I have the relay.neovibe.app one, which I monitor closely since I run it lol.

It would be nice if instances could directly connect. Not sure if that's possible with mastodon.
