This was @pixelfed's first logo, the one I designed myself lol

Two weeks after launch (mid June 2018), a logo contest was organized by the community with a cash prize of donations (80% of winners donated back to the project!)

What an amazing part of our history, that was really special and energized my passion for this project!

Darn, I really wanted to like the app but it doesn't seem to have a pure black theme. All apps (especially on iphone) should have a 100% black theme since it saves battery.

Otherwise it seems like a nice app.

One of the things I really like is to make space and freshness with simple aesthetics like round border radiuses and thin border colors. The latest nightly for 4.1.2-nightly includes some minor but important fine tuning.

@rolle I love this. The only thing that triggers my OCD is that little "hide media" icon being so close to the corder radius of the image and not having the same radius size. lol. It's a nitpick but it stands out.

  • Alt indicators
  • Threaded lines natively! No more hacks.
  • Follow buttons instead of follow icons
  • Local and Federated are now combined as "Live feeds", under it there are tabs Local, Remote and All
  • Direct messages are now "Private mentions"
  • Three dot menu is now a burger
  • Context menus are more clear
  • Emoji menu is now slightly smiling instead of lol emoji
  • Banner notification bars have now border radius and are more clearly visible with bold text
  • Lists can now be accessed directly without the frustrating side step
  • Admin user interface is more logical
  • When replying, compose form has animated focus to clearly state it's appearing there

These are the ones I spotted for now! Perhaps there's more.

I really wish we could make lists with hashtags and not just users. I love that we can follow hashtags, but sometimes I just like to keep certain topics siloed into their own little lists.
