⚠️ Investigation ongoing to determine the full impact of the xz-utils 5.6.x compromise on Ubuntu. The compromised version has been removed from noble-proposed: https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/xz-liblzma-security-update/43714?u=nuccitheboss

Looks like persona non grata also opened a bug report on #launchpad asking to have the compromised version synced from Debian unstable: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xz-utils/+bug/2059417

Reason number 378 why I have trust issues... at least it looks like the current LTS releases and Mantic are not impacted 😬

In this one, we have #Microsoft doubling down on errors, with #VSCode dropping #Ubuntu 18.04 without any warning (which is a problem, because auto updates are a very common thing), and #Edge grabbing browsing data from #Chrome without asking for consent.

Great news for anyone who wants to do #riscv enablement for their packages/software!

#Ubuntu Launchpad - after fixing some bugs in #LXD and OpenStack's Nova - now has generally available riscv64 builders that you can use for both PPAs and snap remote builds. Here the full blog post! https://blog.launchpad.net/ppa/self-service-riscv64-builds
