#RPGaDay2023 - Will Still Be Playing in 20 Years

Let’s see, in 20 years I’ll be 71 … so yeah, the answer will still be Dungeons & Dragons. Hopefully, it’ll be with the Blackrazor Guild, but if not, there’s always the grandchildren and their friends.

More important, I think, is how we will play these games and what opportunities for community we’ll have in our golden years (golden, because we will finally have defeated the black dragon Woryx, and looted his hoard…) https://www.nuketown.com/rpg-a-day-2023-will-still-play-in-20-years-time/

And it was pretty damned cool. We came up with some great quests for our individual characters. I can't wait to see where they take us.

A longtime member of my gaming group (and an all-around good guy) needs some financial help. He's from the U.S. and has been living in Ecuador for the last few years.

His job prospects dried up, so he's returning to the U.S. Our group is working to raise money to help him land on his feet.

Finished Lesser Evil, the last book in the new prequel trilogy that takes place before the last prequel trilogy. A solid end to the series, and Thrawn written by Zahn is always fun, but I’m ready to see what trouble the Chiss can get up to without his big blue brain.

nukehavoc,
@nukehavoc@dice.camp avatar

@luigirenna The themselves came from the Starship Geomorphs fan supplement for . People took them and ran with them by breaking up the geomorphs into 100x100 or 100x50 blocks (as well as individual symbols).

That makes them easy to use in your art tool of choice (e.g. photoshop, gimp, etc.). https://travellerrpgblog.blogspot.com/2020/07/starship-geomorphs-20.html

Any recommendations for alternatives to Grammarly?

Their obnoxious attempts to upsell me to premium with every word I write are as annoying as they are distracting.

Up and atom. Yesterday was a storm of to-dos, many of which got derailed by my sidequest to get a new phone (my old phone took one too many bumps after surviving the trip to and back, so it was time for a new one).

Today? Trying to get organized while navigating more meetings than I'd like.

Still, it's helpful for my mental map to understand exactly where the Hell Furnaces begin and the Crystalmists begin.

As always, @annabmeyer's maps are essential for this. Here's a handy, zoomable version of her full map: https://www.easyzoom.com/imageaccess/fddacc2e6202436baabe469f00783411
