It is time for #musicwomenwednesday. My pick today is :
Carson Amanda "Carsie" Blanton (born July 22, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter based in New Jersey, who performs on guitar. Blanton has released eight studio albums and three EPs, all with a "pay what you please" pricing strategy. Blanton wrote "My true calling as an artist is to share…What I actually want to do is make beautiful music and then give it to everyone, regardless of what they give me back."

“Dude” is both approbative and gently mocking; a word used among friends. If somebody fucks up in a comical fashion, they are totally “dude.” One is unlikely to call a serious enemy “dude.”

There is an element of lightness and unseriousness associated with “dude,” which is to its credit. See also “dude ranch,” or Chester A. Arthur, the “Dude President.”

I just made a mistake and hit the wrong remove button for followers that are inactive, instead of hitting just selected followers I hit remove all followers from the following domains. I apologize for this mistake and have no idea how to get back the followers I cut out incorrectly. I hope some will come back to follow me again..

Its Wednesday so it is time for @loewe's

Today I pay tribute to a departed female artist, Nancy Griffith.
Nanci Caroline Griffith (July 6, 1953 – August 13, 2021) was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter.[ She appeared many times on the PBS music program Austin City Limits starting in 1985 (season 10). In 1994 she won a Grammy Award for the album Other Voices, Other Rooms.

Griffith toured with various other artists, including Buddy Holly's band, the Crickets; John Prine; Iris DeMent; Suzy Bogguss; Judy Collins and The Everly Brothers.[3] Griffith recorded duets with many artists, among them Emmylou Harris, Mary Black, John Prine, Don McLean, Jimmy Buffett, Dolores Keane, Willie Nelson, Adam Duritz (singer of Counting Crows), the Chieftains, John Stewart; and Darius Rucker. Griffith had a backing band which she referred to as the Blue Moon Orchestra.

with respect, I post a recent tribute album to this wonderful artist.

"If the human race is still here in 100 years, it will be because of lots of people doing lots of little things. Bigger things can get co-opted or bought off by the powers that be. But if there are many, many little things going on it will be too hard for them to keep up with all of them. I consider myself to be a sower of seeds. Some seeds fall on stones and don't even sprout, but some seeds fall on fallow ground and multiply a hundredfold."

Its Wednesday a time for sharing great female music artists. My pick this week is:

Rising Appalachia is an American Appalachian folk music group, led by multi-instrumentalist sisters Leah Song and Chloe Smith. Their music is deeply rooted in the landscapes of Atlanta, New Orleans, and the southern Blue Ridge Mountains of Appalachia. What distinguishes Rising Appalachia is their ability to blend a diverse range of instruments and styles. Their musical palette spans from banjos and fiddles to djembe, balafon, congas, tablas, kalimbas, beatbox, and even didgeridoo. This distinctive combination gives rise to a musical mosaic that seamlessly interweaves elements of world, folk, and soul music.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."

Sports conversations, Sports debates, draft prognostications, playoff pronostications, News conversations, panels of heads discussing politics and politicians......
I have turned them off.
I would like them all to just shut up.
I want to listen to the sound of silence and birds and the breeze moving the leaves in the trees.
Ah now life is not so conflicted or argue filled or bull shit filled.
Magic.
