Had a plane in #Blender that used a geometry node setup to spawn planes along its face. The density was like... 2000. Where I goofed was trying to apply this same node setup to a model with like 50,000 faces.
Hello! I'm Wes, and I wear many hats. By day I am an IT Guru at a local self driving car company, by night I am a Photographer / Videographer operating in the Music (Pittsburgh) and Fandom (Conventions) areas.
I run with Windows as my main desktop, but Linux automates much of my life. At home I am
OS agnostic. I have used Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android and iOS in my day to day. I script and code and automate.
I'm currently watching a lot of Anime, and addicted to MCU and in general special effects heavy movies/shows. I am a Trekkie, Farscaper, and Serenity-ite
I like to play games with automation / factory type play style. I also play Minecraft (run a server with help), Shapez2 (alpha), and in general don't have as much time to play as I like.
My music tastes are everywhere. Before I moved to Pittsburgh, it was varied. Today with all the work I do with musicians it has only grown more. One day I can chill in the Darkwave scene, the next catch a local folk artist complete with a Uke in tow.
I attend at least 3 Fandom Conventions a year (because I volunteer at them):
connecticon.org
katsucon.org
station-unity.org
If you go to any of them, say hi. I also have been tossing around with going to cosplay conventions as wesmasonmedia.com.
My Wife (@Rach) is on here too, she is a wonderful person and the two of us actively work to help our cat survive his nature.
I have three kids who can't be bothered with another social media platform. That may change, but for now that is what it is.
Tonight I tested using my Tascam DR-40 at a live venue. Looking for a solid backup to potentially bad board audio when doing video recordings. I used to use it regularly when I started until I started to get good mixes. But recently something changed and I need to find a good backup.
The DR-40 comes with a built in audio leveler. This will allow me to have audio that brings up the talking points and levels out the music. It's a test and I already worry it may be too aggressive. I'll find out in a day or two when I can look into it deeper.

I’ve been following this #video series from the beginning and love it on several levels. A #nature#photographer in Sweden is rehabilitating a wild baby red #squirrel because its mother died just a few days after the baby was born.
The unfolding story is enjoyable, as you’d expect. But the #videography is quite good as well. I could see this become a documentary or a book in the future.
I'd really love your help helping one of my team out of a really #shittysituation.
Back at the height of the #COVID crisis, their car was written off after a hit-and-run. One of the few cars they could get at the time which made sense was a #2012ChevroletVolt.
That car, which still has more than $10,000 on it in outstanding finance, is now dead after a $10 part failed (but which the dealership is refusing to replace and instead wants to replace an entire module within the battery pack for $6,000+.
They can't afford to repair the car, and they certainly can't walk away from the car payment without getting into a really bad place. They've been saving up for their wedding, but in this climate, they're getting nowhere fast.
And in case you are curious, the person I'm talking about is @BeanieCam, my #videographer at @show who works above and beyond and is responsible for some of this AMAZING #videography.
As a #photographer / #videographer for any field. How dirty do you feel when you need to resort to using clipart or someone else's work just for a point on social media? When you know you should have this type of image, but you just don't.
