Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Another day with a lot of Valheim - but I finished setting up the emails for my autoresponder and got some coaching for it, too. Feels very good.

And then my friend joined me in Valheim and we had an epic adventure befitting Vikings - battling a troll, graydwarves and skeletons at night in a storm. We ended up victorious and with plans for the next adventure in place. It will take some prep - and then we'll face the next big boss.

What's a common occurrence in your story that would be odd here?

Smoking. The social norms & expectations around this have changed so much in my lifetime that it really does feel quite alien at times when writing early 20th century set stories.

IIRC, when revising the WW2 part of the story pre-publication, I ended up buying myself some of those sugary stick sweets that we used to call cigarettes when I was a kid 😆

#WritingWonders 7/8: What is your least favorite stage of writing a story? Why?

Revision is about as much fun as writing unit tests at my day job. It's fussy, detailed work and I'm probably not as good at it as I ought to be. And yet each revision never seems to be enough. It gets to the point where I say, "fuck it, and if it isn't good enough then fuck everybody else."

#WritingWonders Day 9: MC POV: When was the last time you laughed? Why?

BRITTA: What kind of question is that? I laugh all the time, like this morning at breakfast when Ambassador Bard flashed a smile at Crystal, and she nearly choked on her oats. I mean, I didn’t have to perform the Heimlich or anything, but her reaction was hilarious. Why she doesn’t just ask him out is beyond me. Guess I’ll just enjoy the show, hehe. Wait, see? Another laugh! Do I get bonus points?
