Aha yep still making games though not as often these days; just released my latest so am enjoying that one currently

Starting today. I’m kind of bamboozled by the idea of no bread or granola at breakfast. But I have to give something new a go, I feel I can’t go on being so unstable and there’s not much wriggle room in my med regimen

I've been on and off keto for years now and have found it to be the most effective and easiest to stick to.

Breakfast is my most important meal and eggs my primary food. Some quality almonds, parmesan crisps and protein bars make for excellent snacks.

Exercise and plenty of water also help a lot (with lemon and pinch of salt).

Threw together a quick pinhole camera to view the eclipse with younger kiddos this afternoon.

Our area has 80% coverage and older sibling said "it looks like a moon!" 🙂

We are getting in some more plays

First, Blacksmiths of Steinheimr. A light but fun worker placement where each turn you get to place a worker to take an action, and pick a worker up to activate a second action. Check out my video here for more info.

Nearly 2am here and we've just finished hiding fortune cookies around the house for this year's scavenger hunt 🗺️

There will be 10 hunters this year and each fortune will reveal a number 🔢

When we exchange gifts they'll need these numbers as that's what we've used to label who the gifts go to 🎁

This has been our annual tradition for over a decade now with each year having a different type of hunt and the kiddos are beyond excited 🤩

Yes, another night of and yes, another loss. That's three in a row. This time I concentrated on only taking the publication action twice and focusing on only three categories. I still ended up with less points than my other two plays. On top of that, I'm losing by almost 30 every time so it's not as if it's close. Something about this just eludes me. It's like a brain teaser I can't figure out.

We're now in feature freeze for 5.8! This is a period of time before a release where we only do bug fixes

Highlights:

  • Minetest no longer ships with a default game
  • A redesigned Settings GUI
  • Improved Android controls, can place nodes with single tap

Looks like only Android screenshot such as Power+Volume Down and unfortunately appears that Firefox does not yet support Android's feature to capturing scrolling windows.

Today I roasted a big chicken...I usually roast some hunk o' meat that I then eat on for a few days every week. This time I have different plans though! I will be eating much of it but plan to use the breasts (not a lover of white meat) to make chicken flour. Seems easy enough on videos...anybody here ever make it? I also want to make my own butter mayo. I am absolutely CRAVING animal-based foods lately! The term "carnivore" usual means meat-based in common usage it seems, but I'm eating dairy as well...anyway, I was headed in that direction, just seems it is happening faster than I'd planned! Still working out the details but for the last few days I'm eating what I crave - and it's all animal-based. Wow.

    iirc for ketosis the goal is 20g carbs per day (some can go higher) so "no", I would say this is not a keto meal

    Looking for feedback.

    I have a lib build for PHP 7 that has 3 methods:

    addFoo($id, $priority)
    addFooBefore($id, $before)
    addFooAfter($id, $after)

    ($before/$after refer to some other $id.)

    For PHP 8, I am strongly considering just assuming named args and changing it to:

    addFoo($id, $priority, $before, $after);

    Specify only one of priority/before/after, by name. Multiple is an error.

    Is this a good idea/bad idea, and why?

    Usually best to let each function do a single task as is easier to maintain / test / etc. so keeping them separate is preferred.

    However could make a new function similar to what you're suggesting that validates the input and then triggers the appropriate function based on those inputs.

    End result would be using a single function throughout code that allows triggering any of the 3 functions.

    In practice it often doesn't make much difference.
