@sesivany@arstechnica Kolo (bez elektrickýho příšlapu) by mi asi vycházelo časově zhruba stejně, ale byl bych z něj moc "vyuzenej" - kilometr od baráku vyjíždím šílenej krpál. Bejt to trochu plošší, tak bych kolo zvažoval jako alternativu taky

I played Jagged Alliance 2 (1999) about 20 years ago and while I remember it being somewhat of a tactical slog with sometimes indecisive firefights, I was able to get through about 75% of the game. This week I tried Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire (2005), a mod turned standalone expansion, and I ragequit during the second campaign mission (the airfield) because all 7 of my mercs were wounded by the time I eliminated just three guards.
I remember there was a fair bit of turtling, progressing slowly by crawling to the enemy positions, peppering them on the way, but this hasn't seemed to be effective in my new game, where my team regularly miss all of their shots while the enemies get a much better hit ratio despite carrying handguns and SMGs which have poor optimal range.
Of course, if my mercs get closer any faster than by crawling, they either get more chances to be successfully hit or uncover more enemies with more bullets coming their way.
Is there something I'm missing to be practically stuck at the second campaign mission?
@hypolite I can't tell more about Wildfire as i never played it, just want to point out that if you liked JA2, then consider replaying with 1.13 patch that adds a HUGE LOT of features and balance changes (no more dragunov headshots from 5 tiles) and so on.
Also, Jagged Alliance 3 is also fun to play even though gameplay is a bit different and has some uber-hard boss fights

Somehow I think (not sure if I remember correctly) there is a key for LOS indicators. Also, LOS changes a lot when you actually look (L key) in the right direction
@hypolite It should not be missfest if you properly use lights. Attack from shadows and let enemy reveal themselves under the lamps or using stick lights.

would there be a single civilian killed by #Israel if #Hamas would not be exactly like #ISIS ?
is there a reasonable source of dead civilians number on #Gaza side?
if your numbers are right (and i do think they aren't) - what would be reason for it? Do you actually think #Palestine casualties are because Israel has gone nuts?
My opinion is, that there was some nasty shit happening between Palestine and Israel - that's for sure, but I would never trust terorist organisation their casualties numbers and i still DO think Israel is civilized enough to not kill civilians just cause (as in every single war there will be - sadly - few exceptions in their army ranks)
I still wonder though why Hamas actually started this hell as I seriously doubt they expected victory or anything useful from it .. they had to expect a HUGE payback

Hey @helpers or any helpful #Friendica users. I'm trying to understand the difference between Categories and Hashtags.
From what I'm seeing, categories never leave the server, but hashtags do get federated out. They kind of look the same in the timeline, with hashtags having a lightning bolt, and categories being green with "X's" that allow you to remove them.
So why choose one over the other? Or why combine them?
I upgrade and tune my printer only to find I don't actually want to print anything. I build a gaming PC and subscribe to various game services only to find I don't actually want to play anything. Same with movies and TV and literally everything else, including making music.
Hi, just a general question - I am on the #Friendica stable branch - is the release of 2023.09 as a stable release planned in the next weeks, and will it contain the renaming of Forums to Groups? What other exciting features are to be expected? @developers@admins
