If we are going to stop this for anyone under 18, why not apply it for anyone over 18? It’s harmful across the board, and that’s something we need to take into consideration in terms of the endgame."

Wow.

Representative Click then responded, "That’s a very smart thought there. I think what we know legislatively is we have to take small bites.”

This is why they call everything a slippery slope. Projection.

Man Displays Father’s Severed Head in Horrific Video Railing Against Biden, Immigration, ‘Far-Left Woke Mobs’ (www.mediaite.com)

Justin Mohn, a 32-year-old Pennsylvania man, is in police custody after allegedly murdering and decapitating his father, claiming the latter was a "federal employee" and a "traitor." Before his arrest, Mohn posted a 14-minute video to YouTube in which he displayed his father's severed head, proclaiming: "This is the head of Mike...

someguy3,

…Mohn spouts…

The federal government of America has declared war on America’s citizens and the American states. America is rotting from the inside out as far-left woke mobs rampage our once prosperous cities, turning them into lawless zones.

[A] fifth column army of illegal immigrants infiltrates our border, and if the traitorous Biden regime is successful in sending America’s military overseas to fight for Ukraine and die in a Russian winter just like every other military who has ever fought Russia in the winter, then America will be less protected when the fifth column of illegal immigrants strikes Americans on our own soil. …

If you are a federal employee and are listening to this message, now is your last chance to resign from the side of the traitors and join your countrymen in taking back your country. … I urge the U.S. Postal Service to suspend their services at this time, split from the federal government, and join your countrymen, or else I cannot offer federal postal workers any protection. If the media begins to spread lies about this revolution and its patriots. Then I authorize the targeting of news stations and their owners and employees as well. The hunting, capturing, and killing of America’s federal employees will not stop until Americans’ demands are met.

This is far beyond stupid and tone deaf.

Here’s a phrase I wish I took more seriously when I was younger: “When someone tells you who they are, believe them.”

someguy3,

This is why they think they can find dirt on everyone (Biden). It’s always projection.

Wait what?

*“Putin said the Poles forced Hitler to attack them in 1939.”

"Hitler just wanted to ‘realize his plans’ and Poland was ‘uncooperative’ and ‘forced’ Hitler to attack and start World War II, Putin said.

Lololol

“Charlie Kirk has said a lot of racist things,” said a student addressing Rittenhouse from the audience.

“What racist things has Charlie Kirk said?” Rittenhouse challenged. “We’re gonna have a little bit of a dialogue of what racist things that Charlie Kirk said.”

The student responded of Kirk: “He says that we shouldn’t celebrate Juneteenth, we shouldn’t celebrate Martin Luther King day—we should be working those days—he called Ketanji Brown Jackson an affirmative action hire, he said all this nonsense about George Floyd, and he said he’d be scared if a Black pilot was on a plane. Does that not seem racist?”

“I don’t know anything about that,” Rittenhouse said from the stage, prompting jeers among the audience.

“Does that seem racist is a yes or no question, Kyle,” yelled one attendee.

“Well, after all the things I just told you, would you consider that hate speech,” the student asked Rittenhouse, who had a dog with him onstage.

“I’m not gonna comment on that,” Rittenhouse said, sparking more noise from the crowd.

Seconds later, Rittenhouse abruptly exited the stage to cheers from the crowd. The attendees were then promptly ordered to depart the venue.

someguy3,

A year ago, one of my biggest fears came true. My name, work ID picture and old Slack messages were misconstrued, posted on Twitter (now known as X), and then plastered over the headlines of right-wing outlets around the country. They were included within a series of tweets highlighting emails, messages and internal documents from my time working as a senior policy official at Twitter, called the “Twitter Files.”

So when I was subpoenaed to participate during a hearing about the Twitter Files in February, I wanted the Real Twitter Files to be known. The evidence I presented to Congress showed that rather than the Biden administration attempting to exert undue influence on social media companies, it was the Trump administration that unsuccessfully attempted to tip the scale.

“the Trump administration and its allied Republicans in Congress routinely asked Twitter to take down posts they objected to.”

someguy3,

Reality truly doesn’t matter anymore. They just want to scream whatever they want to.

someguy3,

This is what I come back to. The right’s crazy was in check somewhat beforehand, but when Obama won it went off the cliff.

someguy3,

Just want to say that psychopaths exist.

someguy3,

If this is indicative of The Wire, I should watch it.

someguy3,

He said gop base.

I think it’s the party as well, but he said base.

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Tex.) — none other than the GOP chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee — flat-out said that Russian propaganda had “infected a good chunk of my party’s base.”

McCaul suggested conservative media was to blame.

“There are some more nighttime entertainment shows that seem to spin, like, I see the Russian propaganda in some of it — and it’s almost identical [to what they’re saying on Russian state television] — on our airwaves,” McCaul said.

He also cited “these people that read various conspiracy-theory outlets that are just not accurate, and they actually model Russian propaganda.”

someguy3,

Japan? I heard the Xbox didn’t do well the because it’s physically larger. Space can be at a premium in certain places.

someguy3,

I thought smoking was still very common in Europe?

A stipulation of Payne’s parole agreement was that he be willing to provide a passcode to his devices, though that agreement didn’t explicitly refer to biometric data. However, the panel said the evidence from his phone was lawfully acquired “because it required no cognitive exertion, placing it in the same category as a blood draw or a fingerprint taken at booking, and merely provided [police] with access to a source of potential information.”

These both seem like bad calls. You have a right to privacy, right? And for police to access your files/home/phone tap requires obtaining a warrant.

Fingerprints at booking gives access to public records. Not your own personal private data. Pretty sure drawing blood is justified suspicion of DUI.

someguy3,

I got banned from a ml community for saying NATO is a defensive alliance lol.

Nah they’ve been taught to hate government. Reagan finalized this with his “the scariest words you can ever hear are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help’”. He defined the government and anything the government does as bad and evil. This is the whole “get government to the size you can drown it in a bathtub”. This naturally goes to taxes are feeding the big evil government, so taxes are just as bad.

someguy3,

Do we have to talk about how we move the Overton Window?

The Democrats can’t do everything wanted when there’s still a very real chance of losing the election. It’s really that simple. If you want to move the Overton Window, you have to keep voting for the closest thing you want. When the Republicans know they can’t win on their views, they will be forced to change. And congrats you have moved the Overton Window.

(yes yes I know the quote they won’t abandon their views, they will abandon democracy, but as for now they still have a real chance of winning.)

If we need more convincing, why are we having stupid movements to disband the EPA? Because the republicans won elections. They moved the Overton window by winning elections.
