Hey , any idea why bees are super into this tiny potted plant, and what I can do about it? I don't want to harm anyone, but I also don't want bees gathering in the patio next to my bedroom. (Sorry the picture is so bad - I was zooming in to try to capture the bee in the pot when her partner flew up behind me and I scooted inside.)

Yesterday morning, very suddenly, my beloved cat Frankie Fangs died of a stroke. He fell off his cat tower, I heard it, I picked him up, and after trying some rescue breaths and his inhaler, I had a few moments to make him feel loved. Dev and I were there while he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

He was the best gato and was filled with unconditional love. If the spirit moves you, please donate to your local pet shelter because animals are the best parts of our lives and deserve all the the care we can give them. Frankie is survived by his little sister Whisper, and nine and a half years of incredible, joy-filled, incredibly funny, lifelong memories.

@MHowell @_L1vY_ My niece has epilepsy from brain damage when she got measles as a baby. She almost died, and she will never be able to get a driver's license. She's a young millennial. It's never gone away, it just got pushed back to the sticks where most people didn't have to see it.

Well, here's my contribution for . This is an Asio flammeus, a I saw in the Sierra Valley, California, a few years back. Isn't the eye "makeup" on short-eared owls fantastic!

    Are there therapists who specialize in helping children who are stressed out giving tech support to their parents?

    My mom is a mathematician. She can program w/ punch cards. But, she & Dad just don't keep up with tech anymore. Drives me nuts.

    Gave my dad an iPhone for Christmas. They HATE it. Probably would hate any phone. Now they say it's recording their conversations.🙄

    Dad holds down the buttons on the side when he picks it up. Activates the voice assistant... they think it's a hacker.

    At the big age of 52, I am realizing that I will always be a bad photographer not because of my equipment or skill, but because I can't get my eyes to work correctly. Oh well. It would be nice if The Lady Catherine had a portraiteur worthy of her, but the world will have to miss out on 5-15% of her beauty.

    Today I made banana bread with spelt flour and delicious lunar new year pineapple tarts. Both were gobbled up quickly by guests at the lunar new year dinner I attended. I’m not a naturally talented cook or baker, if there were such a thing, but I do have a deep belief that I can do anything as long as I keep doing it.

    (I’ve only been happy with my baking this past year. The trick, I’ve learned, is to bake what I personally love eating. So, no sourdough.)

    @skinnylatte I love King Arthur - although not as much as my work colleague who traveled to the home base to take a class in person. The only bad recipe I've ever gotten from them is their challah, which tasted of nothing. (I make challah a lot, but always forget which recipe to use. Not that one.) Great resource.
