This is the first section of my trip. The hotel staff I’m in are letting me keep my big bag in the luggage store for a few days so I can travel way lighter, which is really nice of them.

Chiang Dao is the destination for today, via the Srilanna National Park. Let’s see how it goes!

One less reason to use Google Maps is that it doesn’t show route numbers as labels on the roads. So if you have a blog post that says “follow route 1001 to Phrao then turn onto route 1150” you can’t easily be sure you’ve found the right roads in GMaps.

also you should be able to filter hotels by whether or not they have one or more of those goblin entrance/exits so I do not have to walk past the human being at the desk 4700 times

So, a little over 2 weeks after I drove a knife deep in my finger, the stitches have come out. And tomorrow I can finally not have a band-aid on it.

That healed a lot faster than I expected, especially considering the depth of the cut.

@ainmosni glad to hear. The body is really quite amazing at this stuff. Twice I have had very invasive surgery and been astonished at how quickly stuff (technical term) grows back.

Scooping a centimetre-deep hole in my neck? Rebuilt in about six weeks.

Eight keyhole incisions in my shoulder? Healed over in two weeks (but still painful underneath, nerves are weird things).
