Folks, this woman had COVID THREE TIMES, and she's "surprised" she had a stroke. What are people not getting? How can we convince them that your carotid artery doesn't just "self-dissect" because you're old, despite being "in great shape (from) running every day?" How did this woman let herself get this deadly disease THREE times? They saved her life, but PLEASE be careful, mask, and stay away from humans. This new strain doesn't show in tests for ~5 days.

Somebody woke up EARLY this morning, sang a paean of praise to his water bowl (so loud, it woke me up), ran around the bedroom and bathroom all morning bc if he goes downstairs, Izzy will kick his ass, then screamed to be let out until Izzy (predictably) kicked his ass, right outside the bedroom door, got dragged in to the bedroom again, sang more songs, ran around some more, BANGED on the bathroom door, and, when we opened it, changed his mind. Now sleeping like a bebe.

I know I just have to be calm and wait for Izzles to come home, but I'm anxious. It's cold and gray and wet out there, and Izzy's lost so much weight I can feel all his bones. Anxiety isn't going to help anyone. Juju has now come upstairs and is lying at my feet staring at the front door downstairs, and periodically throwing me a dirty look or two. I'm already feeling guilty enough, even though I had to stand with him for about 20 minutes while he ate.

“(Optional) Rub the cut face of half a garlic clove over the inside of the salad bowl.“
A note advised not to do this if any of the diners might need to avoid the smell of garlic on their breath.

Judging from the amount of pain it causes, it's not something to joke about, and I'm pretty sure if any MAN had it, we would have 7,000 scholarly papers on why it should result in increased accommodation for the poor little afflicted mens. Shingles sufferer here. It's no joke. I was on antivirals and had a "mild" case. Back when I had it, they put me on Percocet and I was knocked out for a week. It feels like you have sunburn on the inside of your skin and there's nothing you can do to soothe it. Horribly painful.
I had PHN for 6 months afterwards and still have PHN flares 10 years later.
I was in my 40s when I got it. It's got to be worse for the older folk.
