Some of my friends that are convicted felons are 100% innocent of what they were accused and convicted of. Some of my friends that are convicted felons are guilty, and absolutely did what they were accused of. I don't make fun of people for being convicted felons, and I don't ostracize them. Instead, I don't let bad people around me. My definition of bad focuses on the choices that a person made in the past, and the choices that they make now. Some of the worst people, will never be felons.

@mekkaokereke TBH, I haven't known too many felons who "reformed." The issue was, their crimes were minor and didn't hurt many people. Mostly petty-ass minor crimes that snowballed into three-strikes due to "tough-on-crime" DAs tryna make their mark. I don't fuck around with the serious bad people. I have no problem with those who have made mistakes, learned, and grown.

Because I decided to practice daily at the beginning of this year, I am able to do 3 hours of mowing with a push mower in a row and not be messed up after this.

I am getting close to 50 years old, I am not exactly young anymore. My body used to be in such a bad shape that what I did today was impossible.

Yoga has changed my life and yard work is not a concern anymore.

Today's conviction of Trump won’t end the legal case, which could quickly be appealed and possibly rise to the level of the US Supreme Court.
It's a historic conviction, no doubt.
But practically speaking, the verdict means only that Trump can't possess a firearm – like all other felons.
A felony conviction won’t keep him from running or serving as president.

@TheConversationUS You know what? Most of us don't give a shit. That POS has finally been adjudicated A FELON, based on a case brought at the trial court. Appeals will be judged on the law, not the facts. For as long as he lives, May 30th, 2024 will be Day, and we will all celebrate. Congratulations to the jury, the judge, the prosecutors, and the court staff for ensuring a smooth trial. Let's hope the appellate court kicks him in the goolies.

Meanwhile, the pollsters keep calling folks with landlines (in the 21st century) and poll everyone in ENGLISH despite the fact that Latino populations are MOSTLY Spanish-speaking; and no Asian languages polling is ever conducted.

@IveyJanette This is what really boils me. Here were all these HUGELY talented people, doing what they did for the pure love of it, and they were better than all those people with $$$ to buy fancy equipment and have training camps and earn superstar salaries.

You have to wonder how many geniuses died in slavery, because EVERY population has a Talented Tenth they boast about. We had ONE Nina Simone, ONE Billie Holliday, ONE Chester Himes, ONE Jackie Robinson. How many lives ended by slavery?
