CZ.NIC set an end to #IPv4 on June 06, 2032 in the Czech Republic. This leaves operators about 300 days to go #IPv6. As a German, I hope that this puts pressure on all European ISPs.

Golem hat das neue @frameworkcomputer 16 Laptop getestet

Welche sind für euch die herausragendsten technischen Erfindungen oder Entdeckungen, die die Menschheit zu bieten hat?

Für mich gehören Induktionskochfelder und die Wärmepumpe in jeder Art (Trockner, Kühler, Wärmeversorgung,...) definitiv dazu. :)

Ich finde es toll, wie @mho auf Heise.de über Mastodon berichtet. Nicht nur lobend - auch kritisch.

So bleibt das Thema im Gespräch. Sehr wichtig für ein organisch wachsendes Netzwerk, das sonst wenig bis keine Mittel für Marketing hat.

Metalhead.club currently loses about 6 % to 9 % active users per month.

Well, it's no surprise that users lose interest, especially if they registered during one of the user waves and just wanted to check out what this Mastodon or Fediverse thing is.

Nevertheless it's sometimes a bit sad to see the numbers drop ;)

But of course I'm still happy to host this place for you - even if it'd be just 100 users. 😉

I've worn and washed my metalhead.club t-shirt at least 8 times. The quality seems to be still okay. I'm optimistic.

Of course 8 times is not much, but also it doesn't seem to be total garbage 😂

#Persefone were awesome! I had great expectations and they were not only met, but exceeded.

Great sound, great to hear live and it was so much fun that I was soaked with sweat after being in the mosh pit for about 3/4 of the time 👌😁

Very likeable band, and after they played a few songs from the new EP, they played Spiritual Migration (😍) and other songs - I think even from the Shin-Ken album.

Crowd was about 150-200 ppl (perfect size!) and on fire 🔥👌

What an overwhelming evening!

Oh cool, ich habe im Google's "irgendwas-geht-nach-dem-Android-update-nicht-mehr" Roulette eine kaputte Bluetoothverbindung bekommen.

Wenn ich Musik abspiele und dann auf eine andere App wechsle, bricht bricht die Verbindung wenige Sekunden später zusammen. Player stoppt aber nicht.

Habe das mit mehreren Bluetooth Geräten unterschiedlichen Alters, verschiedenen Musik-Apps und auf Lautsprecher passiert es nicht.

Was macht eigentlich Google's SW-Qualitätsabteilung den ganzen Tag so?

Viel wichtiger als irgendwelche "Drüberkommentare" Features fände ich bei Mastodon ja vernünftige Spamerkennungs-Tools.

Pixelfed macht es mit seinem simple naive Bayes Filter vor. Sowas hätte ich auch gerne. Klar, ist simple und naive, aber könnte uns einen Haufen manuelle Arbeit ersparen.

Wozu haben wir denn Machine learning? ...

Verstehe natürlich auch, dass die Entwicklungsressourcen stark eingeschränkt sind. Aber Prios, Leute,... Prios! ... ;-)

Now that the first official, federated connection from a Fediverse account to a single (!) Meta threads.net account has been made, the Threads topic is boiling up again.

Many of us Fediverse citizens see this as an opportunity for the Fediverse to gain in importance.

At least as many are sceptical about whether we should be exchanging data with Threads at all.

As an instance admin, I'm worried about making a decision that could alienate users on both sides. 😓 🧵
