Da's lekker. Mijn stad heeft een initiatief waarbij je een afspraak kan maken met de energiefixer, iedere inwoner kreeg daar een brief over.

Dan komt de energiefixer langs om even je huishouden duurzamer te maken: lampen vervangen voor LED-lampen, radiatorfolie plaatsen, een radiatorventilator erbij voor betere warmtespreiding, een waterbesparende douchekop installeren, en twee stekkerblokken met aan/uit-knoppen meegeven. Allemaal gratis geregeld door de gemeente.

Ik weet wel zeker dat ik aardig wat stroom ga besparen, want er bleken toch nog veel gloeilampen in mijn huis te hangen. Zelfs de spotjes in de keuken werden vervangen voor LED-spotjes en die worden vaak gebruikt. Die LED-lampen zijn van die nieuwerwetse dingen met die led-staafjes erin, nice.

Wel tegen die aardige knul gezegd dat het waarschijnlijk handiger was geweest dat voor de winter te doen, want die verwarming gaat nu bijna nooit gebruikt worden de komende maanden. ๐Ÿ˜‹ Maar joh, goed initiatief.

i seriously love that you can still buy a Snood registration code for PowerPC/Mac OS X < 10.6

I believe it is even Carbonized will run on mac OS9, but i've never tried it

I realize that this is what I get for using , but why is it suddenly putting news about the NBA on my laptop's login screen? I haven't the tiniest shred of interest in the NBA.

@ceoln Huh. I know they're adding ads to Win11. But Win10? I use Win10 and don't see ads. You probably have some setting there that you gotta fiddle with. Maybe some half-assed plugin for login screens or whatever?

@freemo It's in a restaurant? So this is fancy. My Japanese roommates back then never cooked this fancy. ;) They usually do simple large meals with rice or ramen. Rice seemed more common I think.

@freemo Heh. Still cool. Closest to first class I ever got was on a Singapore Airlines plane on a friday the thirteenth... and uh.. that was a bigass plane with only 10 passengers on board. Whole row for myself, y0! XD

@freemo I definitely never will do 'economy' class again, especially not on long flights. My dad was suffering from it for a week straight. (We went to Curacao with the whole family)
I'm sure the material they used for the chairs was harder than steel, it wasn't suitable for anyone's buttocks. :P

Which is your favorite Space quest game? For me itโ€™s SQ3. Way too short but it was the first adventure game that I finished as a kid. I played Zak McKracken first, but didnโ€™t manage to finish it until later.

@root42 My favorite is SQ3 as well. It was the first adventure that a buddy and I actually managed to finish on our own with minimal cheating. Learned a lot of English there as well.

SQ1 and 2 we used walkthroughs for, especially 2 was very arcane.

Then later I bought 4 and did that on my own, but it being a literal point and click at that moment made it a lot easier to finish. Interesting story but a bit off compared to the first 3.

Later games I got as well but weren't that much enjoyable anymore.

i am cultivating an exquisite new hobby

after fruitfully spending the last 25 years decrying pan and scan, and vilifying those who bought and showed "full screen" movies in their homes, i am now collecting and watching them on my 11-inch 4:3 sony trinitron TV, exactly as the director intended ๐Ÿฟ

Just a reminder, no matter how unfair your traumas may be, it is no ones responsibility to bear that burden but you.

Dont expect a free pass when you lash out due to a tantrum because of traumas. Your feelings are valid, the actions you take because of them arent.
