Some time ago I discovered that the most tea-drinking country in the world is… Turkey!😃 Today my @tea library has a fulfilment.

@geeky

turbobureaucrat,

@babelcarp, does this law have a beautiful page on the Internet?😃

It's the time of discoveries for me in this thread!

Tea has a magical characteristic to become a national drink. UK, Russia, and Turkey are just 3 countries popping up in my memory where the tea is thought this way.

At work, I am engineer, but after it, I spend my time with . Today my friend, engineer, wrote about purely C-like syntax that it looks like . I couldn’t stand this and sent him a picture of some Clojure code, which indeed looks like Lisp. I received the following image back from him. So the question is, should we talk about the brackets-blindness symptoms here?😃

there is Guppe with its wonderful groups. I enjoy the @tea there, but can’t find anything about the geeky things. Is there something?🙂

(Attaching the photo of pancakes as my apology for this toot being not on the tea-related topic)🙃

"milan red" black tea from White2Tea is a fully oxidized black tea made in Guangdong from material that would normally be used to make Mi Lan Xiang, aka Honey Orchid, Dancong Oolong. Dark stone fruit scent, molasses flavor, herbal aftertaste, little to no bitterness.

@tea

turbobureaucrat,

@dave_heumann @ellestad @tea, does it look close to original Dancong Mi Lan Xiang?🙂

I both simultaneously love and hate when I have some intuition or thought about something and then find other people who also express similar intuitions or thoughts. Because while it's nice to know I'm not alone it's also annoying that I feel I have to find others to validate myself, almost like I have to cite sources for my feelings. Not to mention that when I (eventually) write about it and include them it might make it seem like I came to the idea after exposure to theirs and not vice versa.

turbobureaucrat,

@nathanlovestrees, do you also feel like drinking lots of tea somehow relates to drinking lots of water at the same time?🕵️

My favorite "Christmas" song is this one by Sufjan. Mainly because it reminds me of what Tolkien wrote in the Silmarillion about the gift of Ilúvatar and how it later becomes the doom of man.

The song is "Justice Delivers Its Death" but 'Death' from the title becomes 'gift' when he's singing:

"Justice delivers its gift here on earth"

I have a question, the answer to which isn't yet settled in my mind. However, the act of asking it makes things a little clearer.

The @tea that we drink is all about Camellia sinensis. Is it inevitable or accidental? Could there be some other plant instead of it? Or is it that only Camellia sinensis's characteristics can lead to what we now know as a huge family of different teas, pleasurable for drinking? Maybe there is some not cultured Pcamellia psinensis which could create the ptea culture?

turbobureaucrat,

@prcr @puerh @tea, hmm, sounds legit. What do you think of the will to discover the new tastes of tea? Seems like not the only caffeine gives the motivation.😃

Самый любимый китайский чай — Дян Хун. В европейской традиции его относят к черному чаю. По красоте я могу сравнить его только с Крымской Железницей (травяной напиток) и улуном Гуань Инь (но только хорошим).

turbobureaucrat,

@vanillacoder @k8abadzheva, «Дян Хун» хорош, я бы сказал, что база.👍 Но и других очень достойных целый мир.🙃 Взять хотя бы его «старшего» брата «Дян Хун Гу Шу».

turbobureaucrat,

@vanillacoder, до последнего предложения ещё задумывался предложить тот магазин, где я заказываю, но с Берлином и Потсдамом всё смешалось.😅

Могу посоветовать написать в группу @tea, там смогут подсказать.

A little diary.

In this thread I will document my tea tasting journey.

turbobureaucrat,

@babelcarp @tea, is it okay that in 2 articles out of 3 the topic is about pu’ercha, and here the red one is discussed?🤔
