"Just use Linux" is much like "just ride a bike" or "just shop at a refill store" - accessing the non default option can be time consuming, expensive or unavailable locally. We need to recognise you need a certain degree of privilege to have the capacity to complicate your life voluntarily. We need to be trying to make the better, harder thing more accessible, not blaming people for not using it.

in this case a linux computer isn't more expensive; it may actually be cheaper. the barrier is real, but it's more about the knowledge resources and one's confidence in using them than in the price.

Albania is launching a feasibility study to build a railway line to Kosovo. 120-130km new route needed Albanian side, 70km or so Kosovo side to reach Pristina.

Given the state of each country's railways this looks a long shot to me...

@Miname @danilovic es wird davon ausgegangen, dass radler:innen aktiv von hinten in den seitlichen toten winkel von lkws hineinfahren. so wird nur in richtung radler:innen gemahnt, dieses "selbst gefährdende" manöver zu unterlassen.

dass dieselbe lebensgefährliche situation (möglicherweise viel öfter) dadurch entsteht, dass der LKW den oder die radler:in halb überholt und dann unvermittelt nach rechts einbiegt, wird unterschlagen.

Another mostly fabulous week in the bike training project. In primary schools in Graz. I obviously don't get to share pics of the best bits (the kids) but here are a few other fun details. First fun thing was: I got to ride The Truck to bring some bikes & stuff for a class where the kids didn't have enough bikes of their own.
