@spicytuna62 my first (at 16) was a '96 Acura Integra, 5-speed, coupe. In black, so it was the temperature of lava in the Georgia heat. But god, I loved that car. It was zippy and drove like a dream. It was light enough that I could pull in my parents' driveway at 3am with the ignition (and consequently, the power steering) shut off so they wouldn't wake up. It fit 4 people, but usually only needed my seat and a seat for my CD catalog. I could drive it with my knees while eating Taco Bell on the way home from school. I traded it in for a 4-runner, and never felt the same love until I recently bought a MINI Cooper Clubman.

@QuietStorm not sure if you're into FPS games, but I've sunken obscene amounts of time into Call of Duty Mobile and haven't paid a dime. It's free to play, but they advertise micro transactions to you, which are easily ignored. And I've played it no problem on a $50 Moto e6.

@TauZero you would use a join so that one call would fetch all comment rows for that post:

`SELECT p.post_id, p.title, p.description, c.text

FROM posts p JOIN comments c ON p.post_id = c.post_id

WHERE p.post_id = 79`

This would return a list of all comments for post 79, along with the post id, title, and description also in every row. This isn't a perfect example of optimized SQL, and I have no idea if these are the correct table and field names, as I didn't look them up. But it's a simple example of joins.

I've seen the prison gang violence in GA prisons firsthand. In many places, the gangs run the prison, since they outnumber the guards 200 to 1. This is not a exaggeration, either. Sometimes they would be so understaffed, 2 guards would be patrolling a 1,500 person facility. No wonder so many people are dying.

@tchambers I really think this is a good thing. As much as it pains me, because I used Reddit for so many different reasons, I believe this will rocket forward the development and mainstream adoption of the fedeverse. I've spent a little time now perusing kbin/Lemmy/Mastadon/etc. and I see huge potential here. Content created across countless servers and shared between them all! No centralized control! I'm very excited and optimistic for what's to come of this...
