@PlasticPigeon Good to know it worked for you, never have tried though. For me #kbin is really good, and I don't see myself not using it in the future.

@gone Hello from Kbin! To my understanding, changing OS to something like #GrapheneOS is probably better and more secure than just removing all the bloat from the system, since you can't actually delete to a 100% all the proprietary components from #Google and your manufacture without breaking your phone, as far as I know, graphene has features that no other ROM nor #AOSP have which are better for privacy, and treats all the apps as equal for better security.
TheHatedOne (youtube) has a series of videos about grapheneOS that may have the answer you want.
But in my opinion, deleting all the #bloat with adb is better than nothing, so, you are good to go, more if you can't afford to buy a pixel, #android has a good sandbox for apps AFAIK.
After all, I recommend you to use a firewall like NetGuard to block everything by default and just allowing a few apps of your choice, or TrackerControl to again, block everything, but to block trackers from apps you allowed to connect to the internet.
This made me so happy! :) English is not my first language, because of this, I'm really insecure when I write something.
It's all about the emotional metaphor and what that means
Yes. Sometimes, I feel like a lot of fans don't really care about these things, sadly. Another thing that came to my mind just now, is an scene in a movie or special, where Nami tells to a kid: "I really hated pirates, but Luffy is not like other pirates", something along those lines. Something that the Live Action emphasized with Luffy saying "I'm a different kind of pirate" and Nami reaction to this, just like in the manga when Luffy fights for Chouchou (the dog at orange town) and the Black Cats Pirates, you can see how Nami notices this and is progressively changing her opinion about Luffy.
@haploc Dressrosa is one of my favorite arcs in #OnePiece. Is the second longest arc of the series! The anime has a bigger issue with the pacing in this arc, making it feel even longer. What did you liked the most? One of my favorite thing of Dressrosa (and in OnePiece in general), are the flashbacks, and #Dressrosa have many of my favorites: Law and Corazón, Señor Pink, Doflamingo, Kyros, Belamy and more. And not get me started in the characters that I love because of this arc.
I've been using #Kbin for a while since reddit exodus, but it wasn't until like a week ago that I decided to create an account. It's been great, it is the best way for me to experience the #fediverse, I used mastodon and firefish before, but I think I like more the community format, and not losing the possibility to follow...
@bluGill Yeah, it is completely broken with kbin. I understand there is too much to be done, I would not like to be on Ernest shoes right now, but this is an incredible project that is available for free, and is open source. Thanks for the hard work and all contributors!
Ngl I’m a little confused on how this works for the most part but I am interested putting my One Piece hyper fixation into urusai #onepiece#anime#newbie
@tiger_lily420 Welcome from another #OnePiece fan! It seems you have already gotten help. But I would recommend not to think too much about it to the point you feel overwhelmed, just use it as you would on other social media. :D You will learn as you keep using it.
Are you up to date with OnePiece? I see you are a #nami enjoyer too! ;-)
@mrpablington Really excited about it! I caught up with the story with the anime and after discovering projects like #OnePace and hearing issues people have with the anime, it made me wonder when a remake will be made. I was expecting something like 5 years after the original anime ends, but here we are.
A friend of mine said that the reason he haven't watched #OnePiece is because of how the early episodes look, others, because is over a 1000 chapters/episodes. After the news, they have said they will give a chance when it comes out, so I genuinely believe this will brake even more the breach for new fans.
If for whatever reason you never wish to interact with #Threads, you can personally block it for your account. This hides all posts and profiles from Threads, prevents anyone from Threads from following you, and stops your posts from being delivered to or fetched by Threads. Simply click the "Block domain threads.net" option on any Threads profile or post you see in Mastodon.
@tasket If they want to #scrape all your information, they will, it is publicly available on the internet. Wouldn't be surprised if they already did it with their AI. No, it does not matter if you add no index to your robots.txt or profile.
Are you using Dropbox cloud storage? You do not want 3rd party AI technology partners to have access to your Dropbox files? Flip this switch, which is on by default. Go to web->account-> settings- 3rd party AI. Please turn it off. Please boost so everyone know how bad this move is … 😡
Mark Zuckerberg: Starting a test where posts from Threads accounts will be available on Mastodon and other services that use the ActivityPub protocol. Making Threads interoperable will give people more choice over how they interact and it will help content reach more people. I'm pretty optimistic about this.
So I’m nearly halfway through watching One Piece. Why do I get the feeling that Boa Hancock is going to convince Luffy to marry her the same way Chi Chi convinced Goku: by telling him that their wedding will include a feast? 😂
@jcalexandrewrites Personally, don't see that happening, not a fan of them as a couple, specially of this take. I don't like the idea of Luffy marrying someone by being tricked with food, I feel like people make Luffy more dumb than he actually is, he is excellent at emotions, is direct, and he wants freedom, I want him to end up with someone (if he does at the end of the story) because he chooses to be there. Don't want to spoil things, in which episode are you? Do you mind if I show you something? Anyway, just keep watching...
At the end, we are speculating, and the author can do whatever he wants, but he stated in an interview (this year or last year) that one-sided love is for the gag.
@jcalexandrewrites No, I think those are filler episodes, what I mean happened in canon, if I'm not wrong, is around 500ish. Do not search for it, be careful, you will probably end up spoiling yourself huge stuff for the plot.
@asteroidrainfall#RSS for the win! My internet browsing is mostly done through RSS. I personally subscribe to channels with #invidious or #piped instead of youtube.com.
When I found out about this app, I was blown away about how cool the concept is. Sadly it was already dead, at that moment it made me wonder why other services weren't build like that. I don't think it will be easy to create a service like that and probably have too many downsides I'm not aware.
That would be awesome! And with RSS feed even more, sadly Meta is known for blocking at a huge scale scraping, so that would be really hard, just look what happened to bibliogram and barinsta. (I'm aware we have proxigram these days)

[Android] Hard debloat vs Change OS
Hello all....
Why are peertube channels federated like a magazine or a community on lemmy?

What is a privacy friendly application that you'd love to have, but no one has developed yet?
