VanillaGorilla,

Was going to comment... for the dude that looks like a crazy cat lady in her 90s that had way too much to drink last night and woke up in a ditch he's got some weird opinion on this.

NegativeInf,

As defendants in the far-reaching indictment begin to surrender to authorities ahead of the Friday deadline, “Shafer’s position signals that some may be poised to turn on the former president,” Axios reports.

“Mr. Shafer and the other Republican Electors in the 2020 election acted at the direction of the incumbent President and other federal officials,” lawyers for the former GOP chairman wrote in the filing.

“Attorneys for the President and Mr. Shafer specifically instructed Mr. Shafer, verbally and in writing, that the Republican electors’ meeting and casting their ballots on December 14, 2020 was consistent with counsels’ advice and was necessary to preserve the presidential election contest,” they added.

tldr: Rats are leaving the sinking ship. Another person flips on Trump and his attorney’s at the heart of the coup attempt.

Trump Fears His Unindicted Co-conspirators Will Turn On Him to Save Themselves: Report (www.vanityfair.com)

When special counsel Jack Smith criminally charged Donald Trump this month for attempting to overturn the 2020 election, the indictment referenced six unnamed co-conspirators—five of whom are identifiable—who aided the ex-president’s plot to stay in power, i.e. break the law. Why Smith chose not to charge these individuals...

He’s wrong though.

They already have. Or did he think they got away with it?

You mean like how he turns on everyone the minute he feels threatened by them? Like almost his entire administration at this point?

Chainweasel,

“Will”? How exactly does he think they ended up unindicted in the first place?

shiroininja,

They’re wasting money on big buildings and rent.

Also, they want control of your activity while your on the clock. It bothers them if you’re more productive, get the same amount of work done but can relax more at home. Which is the way it should be. If I can do the same work in 4 hours than I can in 8, I should get paid the same, and be able to relax, instead of being made to stay at work for 8hrs and be given even more things to do to just stay busy.

People, if you want to discuss your fetishes or crimes or whatever you want around a smart speaker, just unplug the damn thing. It's not that hard. I got them all over the house because I'm an automation geek but I'm well aware of what I say around them. With a Pihole on the network, I don't get targeted ads either.

Also, they don't send your audio to their servers 24/7. I've verified this myself with Wireshark. That would be a hell of a lot of server resources they would need, and they can get info easier just by profiling and fingerprinting you online.

    Skates,

Aside from this, I just spent 10 minutes removing consent for advertising/cookies/tracking/whatever for about 100 different vendors. I really hope I don’t need to do that again, ever.

    blackbelt352,

Not really it’s the reality that the necessary lifestyle changes necessary to combat our effects on the climate will take a long time, longer than we really have any ability to fix, compounded with a huge segment of our population that doesn’t believe climate change exists, and their representstives actively writing legislation that dampens any forward momentum on dealing with it, and some very fanatic religious peiple see it as the Book of Revalations being fulfilled.

In the letter, attorney [for Twitter] Alex Spiro questioned the expertise of the researchers and accused the center of trying to harm X’s reputation. The letter also suggested, without evidence, that the center received funds from some of X’s competitors

Is this enough for a countersuit?

    SamsonSeinfelder,

The damage is pretty mild compared to the ruins that Russia created with their missiles on major ukrainian cities. If moscovits are shaking bacause 10 windows of a single story got damaged, they are invited to ukraine and see what they are doing to the civil population there.

Good, it’s the right thing to do. Russians shouldn’t even be allowed anywhere near international athletics until Putin is arrested and standing trial for war crimes at The Hague.

    ProcurementCat,

As a German, I’m opposed to let the UK back in unless it has been decided by a binding referendum with more than 70% voter participation and more than 75% of votes being cast for “rejoin”.

Brexit has destroyed so, so much - especially trust - that the British people need to make it unquestionably clear that they are in this for the long run, for a few generations.

We can’t have another 51-49 decision that will immediatly change as soon as the economy is doing a bit better or worse.

The EU is under attack from so many sides, and it could really use the support of a strong UK. But we can’t risk the UK becoming an enemy of the EU again.

    Rostby,

All I want is to see a post not related to Elon musk
