s7ryph,

I would argue that the centre-right party is the democrats. They are more in line with a European centre-right party. We have no true leftist party due to the 2 party system.

s7ryph,

Love the sentiment but they were flashing old devices so the likely had lots of vulnerabilities.

‘In the US they think we’re communists!’ The 70,000 workers showing the world another way to earn a living (www.theguardian.com)

When Marisa Fernández lost her husband to cancer a few years ago, her employers at the Eroski hypermarket went, she says, “above and beyond to help me through the dark days afterwards, rejigging my timetable and giving me time off when I couldn’t face coming in.”...

s7ryph,

Not much of a big deal in that headline. Americans think anything left of centre-right is communism.

s7ryph,

Mainly as a search engine replacement, finding docs or information without getting terrible search results. Also for recipes, it’s really good at recipes.

GPT 4 though, 3.5 is about as sharp as a bag of wet mice.

What are the most mindblowingly creative, inventive, or otherwise otherworldly albums you know of?

One of my favorite things to do while stoned is listen to albums that are really unique, artful, and/or jam packed with soul and energy, as in that head space music just hits completely differently and it just lends to me finding a deep love and appreciation for the art of music. What’re some of your favorites?

s7ryph,

So Ikea has different qualities as well. Something like Hemnes is made of pine instead of particle board. Those will last quite a while. On the other hand pine is a soft wood so those more expensive hardwood models at the top end you mentioned will last a lifetime.

s7ryph,

Ice Nine Kills - Welcome to Horrorwood

s7ryph,

Ok, not defending the record and streaming companies but this is nothing new. In the past if you bought an album the artist would see around 1.50$. At an average of 13 tracks on an album you would have to listen to the full album 133 times to equal 3$. That would be close to the band getting 1.50 depending on their contract. This math makes a lot of assumptions about royalties that are varied and complex but I listen to many albums more than that on streaming.

Bands never made tons of money off record sales, there are lots of better ways to support bands you like. Royalties are often paid to the band in merch, so buy a CD or vinyl directly from the band. Same for anything they sell directly at concerts or on their site.

That said I would love to see better shares for the artists, but it’s unlikely going to get better because screwing artists goes back decades.

s7ryph,

This is absolutely on the manufacturer. Default credential attacks should not exist in the day and age.

s7ryph,

VW and BYD as well, but VW has been the most accurate I have driven. Even with that I would say at best 80% accurate on what the speed limit is.

s7ryph,

Like they would let Texas take any classified parts of those bases. Things would get really interesting.

s7ryph,

Bisque is the technique you are looking for. But keep in mind that has you remove the shell pulp after cooking.

Black Ohio woman criminally charged after miscarriage underscores the perils of pregnancy post-Roe (apnews.com)

The 33-year-old Watts, who had not shared the news of her pregnancy even with her family, made her first prenatal visit to a doctor’s office behind Mercy Health-St. Joseph’s Hospital in Warren, a working-class city about 60 miles (100 kilometers) southeast of Cleveland....

s7ryph,

Because in a country with racism in many areas it is always a part of the topic. The medical system already has issues with treatment of black patients. And law enforcement has severe known bias.

Not saying that is the case here but it is often a part of the story.

s7ryph,

Curious if the suspended sentence means he will be charged under UCMJ.

‘We can't wait for peace:’ Reluctant at first, Denmark takes on rebuilding war-torn Mykolaiv Oblast (kyivindependent.com)

When President Volodymyr Zelensky announced to the Danish Parliament last March that Ukraine wanted the Nordic country to rebuild the war-torn southern Mykolaiv Oblast, it was the first the Danes had heard of it. Not only was the president’s plan to assign Ukrainian regions to allied countries for reconstruction

s7ryph,

This is a really genius way to handle reconstruction. The bonds forged in this region will be much stronger with this kind of support.

s7ryph,

I find it very accurate for cooking related tasks. I find it to be 90-95% on even the wildest recipes. And developing flavour profiles is something it’s also very good at.

I know that’s not a huge thing for most people but recipe sites are so terrible and flooded with trash I appreciate the time saved. I bring this up because the article suggests it should only be used as a starting point.

s7ryph,

That’s not in the article, the judge speaks highly of the founder and says the company would be a disappointment to him.

s7ryph,

That’s not totally accurate. Much of the work in Afghanistan was done by local nationals. We had them cooking in our DFAC. But often the fast food joints were staffed from other countries. Seemed like mostly Eastern European workers.

s7ryph,

It has an app, but I am fairly sure home assistant can work with it. I connected it to a similar program a couple years ago and had some limited functionality.

s7ryph,

I remember it getting bought out. The older teas had about 5 ingredients on the label. Overnight they doubled or tripled. Of course we needed all those chemicals because they were cheaper than just making a good tea.

Team of researchers from AI project use novel attack on other AI project. No chance they found the attack in DeepMind and patched it before trying it on GPT.
