MIfoodie, What if #GodotEngine #Godot made a book (I’m thinking of something for beginners like an official guide) as a fundraiser.
krazyjakee, If anyone wants to watch a superb 10 minute breakdown of what #godot 4.3 is bringing, I highly recommend this video by SaaS https://youtu.be/R-oJzCGFnak - some codebase refactoring likely but also worth it
Yatch, Collaborated with Siberiano (https://www.instagram.com/siberian0/) for the BigMode Game Jam. Check out our dice rolling baseball card game, Monster Mode Baseball!

MIfoodie, For my future #GodotEngine project I’ve decided for it to be story based in a style similar to Star Wars Squadrons where you switch sides after each mission.
I don’t like the idea of using other people’s ideas but I must learn that in creative work you HAVE to use other people’s ideas.
(Btw I’m using this account as a sort of notepad because when I post publicly I feel more “committed” to what I write notes on)
KaizarNike, #godotengine Converting my project to #Godot4 . I don't know why my roguelike comes bundled with a media player, but it gives an opportunity for gameplay if I can wing it.

GameFromScratch, The #GodotEngine may be getting a new Global Illumination system. HDDAGI would be a drop in replacement for the (new!) SDFGI GI solution, that's harder, better, faster, stronger.

philipdrobar, Today I was able to squash some bugs on COGITO, my first person immersive sim template. Thinking of opening it up to the public soon to get feedback. What do you all think?
Here's a quick vid of me testing it with gamepad.
dbat, Is there a way to count the number of "lines" in a string?
I can do count("\n") - but am not sure if this works cross-platform...🦇
aenderlara, Render test
beanjbunny, I’m actively suffering trying to get everything in proportion but I’m also not missing Screenshot Saturday! #godot #screenshotsaturday #indiedev #gamedev #videogames #gaming #pixelart

gileri, (edited ) French #CavesOfQud developers got a minimal #Godot port of their game running in a weekend, following the #Unity snafu.
GameFromScratch, The #GodotEngine foundation have just announced a key new partnership. Joining forces with Google and The Forge to improve Vulkan mobile rendering.

mblayman, 🎮 Why program a game with #Godot? With this introductory video, I showed how Godot fits into the game engine landscape and compared it to other open source options. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4o63V0AdrHk
krazyjakee, Nasty SDFGI reflection precision when the camera moves means I can't use reflections in my game, even in 4.2 #godot #godotengine
Nouvanity, Spent the past day experimenting with godot 4 and ended up making a character with:
sprint + stamina + crouch
a food meter with working "food", no model yet
sleep meter with working bed (I broke the sleep setting for the video)
working flashlight with batteries (can be recharge with a battery pickup)It's pretty fun to learn, hopefully this game actually comes together (its going to be a horror game/ simulator about working as a lighthouse keeper)
GameFromScratch, Ho, ho, ho, it's time for Godot!
Godot 4.2 that is. An early XMas present, #GodotEngine 4.2 was just released. We go hands-on with a dozen of the best new features in this release.
https://gamefromscratch.com/godot-game-engine-4-2-released/
krazyjakee, Nope. I'm done with SDFGI. It just doesn't work with consistent, formal shapes or low poly in its current state. Experimenting with no effects and toon shading seems to work better. #godot #godotengine

beanjbunny, #screenshotsaturday #GodotEngine This took forever BUT it's working and once I clean it up some you can go on and look forward to a tutorial #indiedev #gamedev
Gustodon, Does anyone know a relatively easy method for converting #Scratch .SB files into something glossier? Is there a path for that with #Godot or #Gamemaker? I thought we'd be going from Scratch to Snap to Python, but the first step is changing the games so significantly that it feels like it's a reduction instead of an enhancement.
Thanks.

mcoorlim, On the subject of a patreon supporting small monthly games, I'm torn between interactive fiction - possibly serial - and a variety of arcade-style games in #godotEngine.
I'm a writer by nature but I feel a variety with narrative elements makes for better portfolio pieces.
And I question whether an ink or twine (or Inform or TADS) centric patreon will find sufficient support.
phryk, Finally looked into the shader system of #godotengine and… I can actually find stuff in the docs. 👌
And my brain seems to have gotten better at thinking about this stuff since I last tried getting into shaders with raw OpenGL, too. Such amaze, many wow.
MIfoodie, I have a super strong urge to learn C++ so I can contribute to #GodotEngine. Like it would be so nice if I could fix the problems I have myself instead of just submitting a feature request or something that probably no one would look at.
