While, there's massive institutional resistance to repatriation, we should celebrate when it does happen as part of the need to shame those who continue to justify (or try to obscure) historical acts of looting perpetrated by the British.

#Ghanaians please! My boyfriend has told a family member in Accra that we will come to their place for lunch at 12. Unfortunately his Dutch side is prevailing and he insists on actually being there at 12 exactly, not 12:05 as "he hates to be late". From my own cultural background I believe it would be rude to arrive before at least 12:15, 12:30 and they will not be ready to receive us at 12.

Conclusion: I asked him to double-check what time we were expected and the relative said 12. We arrived at 11:56, the food wasn't quite ready, but everyone was happy and we ate about an hour later!
