question:

In the we had a toy for making that actually had a potter’s wheel. The commercial for it had a song that went something like this:

🎶 “you take a ball of clay / you pinch it with your fingers / you put it on the wheel / and make the wheel go round!” 🎶

This is all I can remember. YouTube and Internet searches haven’t helped.

Can any of you wonderful people tell me what the name of this toy was?

Thanks!

Please children... scooch closer. Don't make me tell you again... about the scooching.

"Roadrunner" (1976)

This LP came out the summer after my senior year in HS and was on absolutely no one's radar in Tinytown, North Carolina. But a friend, a young Vietnam vet/longhair who still wore his fatigue jacket, played drums, took pictures and smoked all the weed introduced us.

Hey, y'all! I'm going to do a thread here.

Redbone should be added to hall of fame. This emerged in the & I absolutely LOVE THEM!

Did you know that Redbone collaborated with Cyndi Lauper, in the 80s? Girls Just Wanna Have Fun wouldn't have existed without Redbone!

Good morning!

On my way to the office I listened to the new album of Australian outfit

They sound incredibly close to and "Glimpse Of The Dawn" is a better Uriah Heep album than Uriah Heep's latest album (which is also good tbh).

There are also some Jethro Tull, Deep Purple and Rainbow references. So if you like that mixed with a modern sound, go here 👉 https://hcrtarot.bandcamp.com/album/glimpse-of-the-dawn

BOBBY HUTCHERSON
Cirrus
1974 U.S. pressing

One of my 3 favorite albums to get my Thursday morning started.

A hauntingly beautiful record.

My 14 yr old has just started to appreciate certain kinds of jazz music, and Cirrus was one of the records that did it for him. Like his father, he isn’t totally wild about the genre, but knows the kind he likes when he hears it.

A great choice to go with my apple pancakes this morning.
