I got two new 6 button retrobit controllers for my #sega#megadrive. They worked for an hour, then both died at the same time after I resetted the game. Then I got an original Sega 6 button controller. Worked fine for 2 days, then button X died. Now I'm wondering if the controllers are such junk or my Mega Drive is killing them. Is that even possible? I measured the ports during a reset and couldn't find anything unusual there. #retrocomputing#retrogaming#genesis#segagenesis

Today I modded my Mega Drive with a 60 Hz switch. It worked out fine and now I am happy to enjoy classics like Sonic on original hardware the way it's intended. 🦔💨
