How would you feel if a woman you know, perhaps vulnerable, was forced into being treated in an all-male ward at a hospital. How would that woman feel?
How awesome is this! De Santis bans rainbow colors on bridges, though citizens took their flashlights out and continued with the tradition of coloring the bridge in rainbow. More than needed to take a clear stand against the bans on queer existence. Thanks for the bravery, Jacksonville! #pride#lgbtqia
Pink News: Adele shuts down anti-Pride heckling at her residency show in the best way
“Did you come to my fking show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you fking stupid? Don’t be so f**king ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, alright?”

Most of the year this account only speaks about compost. Our goal is to inspire a few people to be the change and understand how they can help the world by developing composting systems at home or for their community.
But you also have to understand that your host is a #lgbtqia person who has to hear a lot of horrors year-round about #trans people. Being #transgender means that a lot of the people on earth don't want you to exist at all.
This is why we celebrate #pridemonth to remind you that there are more important issues on this planet right now.
By a domino effect, a few people can inspire a lot of others to develop the right habits so that we don't mess up this planet.
Probably the wrong question. I write sapphic novels. Yuri. I have a few bit characters that are str8. Mikito-sensei is the only one with much screen time and he could easily be ace. Let's see #lesbian, #bisexual, #asexual, #transgender (#transfem, & #tranmasc)
A flush not quite a straight missing gay and non-binary.
More than one, and in many of my stories. Loren is non-binary and genderfluid teen, with variable preferences depending on the hour of the day and how their brain wired (literally) at the moment. Maistro is everything-sexual (as long as there's consent and of legal age). The Still Unnamed Daughter might have done some non-het experimentation. And Our Hero learned to like women's clothing and shoes…>=)

#PennedPossibilities — Pride Month Edition: Do you write any characters who are a part of the #LGBTQIA+ community?
Yes! My first published m/f hist rom, The Lily Brand, already contained a very happy gay secondary couple, the hero's two best friends. Back then, I wrote Drake and Justin into the story because I was so enraged about the utterly ghastly depiction of queer characters in m/f romance at the time.
Welcome to June, everyone. We're kicking off the first #FundingSunday of the month with Willow. Willow is requesting help raising funds for the cost of training for an Advanced Diploma in Integrative LGBTQ+ Affirmative Counselling.
#PennedPossibilities 333 — Pride Month Edition: Do you write any characters who are a part of the #LGBTQIA+ community?
Lots. Would feel weird not to. They are a normal part of society. Also, mages are polyamorous.
The number will vary with the story. My first Dragon Age book has the least. It takes place primarily in the oppressive northlands where the church has a firm grip and also has a smaller cast in general. But then I have a Modern Era book where straight folks are outnumbered. 🤷
I don't have a lot, but West (West Flows) surprised me by declaring he was gay. I will admit I struggled with that, until I realized that love is just love. And he is very much in love with his Jeko.
I hope that more characters will come out as queer. I think my Moon might be. (She's the MC in the book after Sun Burns.)
#PennedPossibilities 333 — Pride Month Edition: Do you write any characters who are a part of the #LGBTQIA+ community?
My objective is to write female characters who overcome and deal with the strictures of their society, whatever they may be—stories that make you think of why needing to write such stories should even be necessary. (#Feminist author.) I neither avoid nor actively seek to write otherwise diverse characters, but I have written them anyway. Characters have a way of presenting themselves. I've written a gay romance side story for my current main WiP arc. I wrote a short story accepted for a trans fantasy anthology that sadly never got published because the publisher went under. That my MC's roommate is also apparently bi just is, and how it plays out is just what it is, too. No drama. Having been brought up with diversity makes me want to depict diversity as normal and everyday. Do I try to make political points with such characters? Not so much as I might with female characters.
