I'm #Robocop nerd enough to have given the series from 1994 a chance since it was in the free Plex section. As expected the show was... not great. At least not the first episode and because of how the show has been visually mangled, that's as far as I'm going to get. It's a 4:3 show that has been cropped to 16:9 in "remastering" - which is painfully evident. Most shots are a complete blurry mess with wrong composition. I'd give it another shot if it didn't look like shit. Your move, #Plex
Why would #Robocop keep being a cop after all the shit being a cop did to him? Is he in a prison of having to back to OCP for updates, maintenance or organic replenishment? Since he’s dependent on that, I guess he feels that there’s no other choice but to stay on the force and try to clean up Detroit and/or do what he can to make the police not just another gang? #ShowerThoughts
Ces deux derniers jours, je me suis refait tout #Robocop, et en résumé :
Robocop : toujours un super film cyberpunk pur 80', acide.
Robocop 2 : un peu moins bien, mais des thèmes intéressants. La menace woke !
Robocop 3 : très bof. Fini la critique des sociétés ultra capitaliste. Eux méchants, nous gentils, boum boum.
Robocop (remake) : nul. Complètement à côté de la plaque, du sujet, de la nature du héros, sans compter même pas d'intérêt d'un Robocop dans un monde de drones.
