Warhawk was easily one of the top releases for the Spectrum Next at launch, but it also happens to serve as a fantastic upgrade to a brilliant budget blaster too!
So let's dive into it, and the original version to see just what an upgrade it is!
I totally forgot I had this. With the sheer length of time between the #ZXSpectrumNext Kickstarter and its final arrival, this package got packed away and overlooked. Until now.
Very nicely done, just need me to put the SD card in there with the #MagneticScrolls games on it.
Just got a lovely piece of 1982 delivered from #ZXSpectrumNext. Includes a 320-page manual that tells you how to program the thing, because the internet won't exist for another 15 years or so - a lovely touch!
Still no sign of the #ZXSpectrumNext (or indeed even a tracking number), and my vacation is almost up. So I find it unlikely now that I'll be making anything on the machine in the near future.

Has anyone seen Way Of The Exploding Fist on the ZX Spectrum Next yet? I was able to try out the playable demo at Crash Live 2023 last weekend. Okay, following my quick "I'll try coding for CP/M" lark today, I've come up a couple of routines to quickly learn some asm coding for CP/M and to play with my #RC2014 Bus Interfaces for connecting RC2014 modules to the SAM Coupe and ZX Spectrum.
It's really just proof of concept stuff which I'll look at in this thread...
The XBerry-Pi doesn't look like a ZX Spectrum at all, but it's the new ZX Spectrum Next-compatible creation by Don Superfo. If it does anything analogous to what the Superfo Harlequin 128, it's going to be amazing. Hopefully the strange branding decision won't detract from it.

Just need to find the control codes of it's terminal type to turn the cursor off as it does flicker around with "spurious crap" (nice techy term 😂 ) due to the solid cursor square darting about when redrawing.
(Currently using Zenith type in the Turbo Pascal compiler configuration, also the screen width can be left at 80 as it doesn't autoscroll after a character is printed at 24,80)
