#NeoVIM users ATM I'm using my own config which works with issues and I feel that one of the following projects might be better suited as they have lots of devs keeping everything working and up to date. So which would you consider best from this selection #nvchad , #astrovim or #lunarvim ??
Well, I finally have #Debian up and running on my desktop computer, with a working NVidia driver and working wifi. It's been MUCH more of a fight than I feel it should have been, especially getting networking up.
Still have to get a proper software development environment going, don't want to keep using #VSCode.

I would say that vim has progressed quite a lot since it's inception. With support for multiple languages via LSP and many, many plugins (including LISP - see LIMP).
Neovim is a rewrite which improves speed etc. Lunarvim, which sits on top of NeoVim as a curated suite of plugins and config brings a very vs-code like experience to your programming!
TL;DR; vim may be old, but it's not obsolete 👍 #vim#neovim#lunarvim
But I decided there is a lot going on that i don’t need and i want to know exactly what’s going on in my config. So i cloned kickstart.nvim, read every line of it before using it, snip, cut, fhrhuhfvhtfffggtgg, and am having a blast tailoring it to me.
This is the first Neovim release since Bram Moolenaar passed away and the archival/deprecation of both null-ls.nvim and packer.nvim.
Is anyone running into any issues with this release (particularly if you use null-ls or packer)? How are the Neovim distros (eg - NvChad, AstroNvim, LazyVim, LunarVim, etc.) performing after the update?
@codemonkeymike#lunarvim has been a go-to for me for quite some time now. It's got excellent built-in transparency, floating terminal, and pretty straightforward config that's easy to add plug-ins similar to how you would with neovim...Definitely check it out! 😎 :nixos:
