Yesterday, we went on a day trip to #Oxford by #train. No other means of powered transport was used as we #cycled to and from our local #RailwayStation.
Here is the #countryside zooming past the train window.
Today we travelled to the #CityOfBath, which is just over an hour away by train, making it suitable for a day trip. We cycled to our #RailwayStation and left our #bikes there. In #Bath, we only used pubic #buses and walked everywhere; we were lucky that although today had been planned well in advance, the weather was wonderful.

Can anyone see "the rail line that passes the playa" on the Google or Apple map of Burning Man? I'm astonished to discover that there's actually railway that could be used to bring people safely out, and it's (apparently) not being used #BurningMan
In fact, if the festival were to talk to the railways about reopening the disused Trego Hot Springs #railwaystation on the Western Pacific Railroad, about 6km away from #BurningMan, they'd do a lot of good to the local econmy as well as bringing in a variety of less car-reliant people to their festival
