Am in Dunkeld on the first leg of my #running#vacation in which I hope to explore parts of South Australia that I've never been to. And visit some wineries along the way of course. And #pyconau in the middle too!
Photo shows where one of tomorrow's Peaks And Trails 20km event mountains should be, if it wasn't for all the cloud... 😂
Leaving for a long overdue #vacation early tomorrow so any posting will likely be images over 9 days in southern #Utah.
We’ve been married for nearly 15 years but never took a honeymoon, so this is sorta it now that we’re empty nesters. The schedule is relatively fluid, taking it day by day, with St. George as our “base camp”. The entire trip is inspired by this amazing video as we enjoy hiking & haven’t been to Utah yet.
I stopped posting in Amsterdam. I can summarize it by saying I drank a variety of local Amsterdam/Dutch and Imported Belgian beer -- which is quite popular. The most surprising beer was Amstel. Very crisp malt profile and I love the Dutch small glass serving.
If people do care, I'll do a quick thread.
Anyway, I'm here in Berlin! Got off the train and straight to the closest Döner Kebab.
Mostly packed for my brief #vacation that starts tomorrow. Biggest decision yet to be made: Which mic & interface to pack? Seriously considering SM58 & Zoom H4n for old time’s sake. And indestructiblity.
@evelynefoerster and I were on #Vacation on to a very special occasion to #Austria 🇦🇹 two weeks ago. We enjoyed it very much and had a really great time. 👍🤣
Here are some impressions of the #Landscape. Hope you like them. 🤣
I’ll make this a 🧵 due to the 4-image limit. Also, please excuse the fact that images in this thread do not contain a useful #AltText this time. I can’t comment individually an all images in the thread.
NY Times:
“I think there’s a little bit of sort of climate catastrophe fatigue,” Andres Gluski, chief executive of AES, a major renewable energy company, told me over breakfast. “People are like, ‘Yeah, yeah, the world is going to end. But I’m still going to vacation on the Greek islands or the Bahamas.’”
Now for Bamberg day 2/2. Sadly, we were only in Bamberg for a short time. It was so lovely, I'd love to go again.
Sadly, I missed a few of your recommendations. Time was too short.
For the first beers of the day, we hiked up to Altenberg. My wife had the Radler. I had the Mahr's Kellerbier. I can't say I've ever had a bad Kellerbier in Franconia. This one was great.
So, I am on #vacation right now at a family resort. Apparently, I radiate such big Dad energy that when I am in the pool, random children who are not my own will approach me and ask to play with me or for me to watch them do tricks.
With some of the best museums in the Middle East, a mixture of traditional and ultra-modern living, and stunning #desert landscapes, #Qatar is also one of the fastest growing #tourist destinations in the world. Have you been there? #vacationhttps://backpackandsnorkel.com/Qatar/
