I'm a big fan and this is worth a read, even if you casually know of it as a person.

This is the of my website according to my host Siteground.

Is it at an acceptable level? Not sure. It looks ok-ish. Probably still needs some fiddling to improve it.

I'm considering writing a formal document (FEP?) that specifies how an ActivityPub service (including both server and client behavior) may implement domain-only names like has. Because it's the biggest beneficial thing Bluesky has that we don't (the one other thing is detached "preferred" handles, which is related). I've reasoned somewhere else before that it would be super helpful for , , and .

I wrote a little code snippet to help you inline SVGs in this morning and shot off a little blog post about it. It uses the fantastic new HTML Tag Processor in WordPress 6.2. https://aurooba.com/inline-svgs-in-your-wordpress-code-with-this-helper-function/

Anyone know of a theme with a header image that actually works with so that it becomes the Mastodon header image? I’m new to this and haven’t gotten it to work on my blog account: @bryan

@chris shout out to your work on Kana. Just had one of our Devs that I'm collabing on some plugin development just praise how easy it was to get our plugin working in a environment for local testing. 🕺

How do these local screwdriver shops stay in business? Do they have like a handful of accounting firms they do IT support with? Make all their money over Christmas assembling game PCs? Spending 90% of the time doing development waiting for a customer? Money laundering? Passion business for the secondary income earner in a marriage?

Huge news 🥳

WordPress now has 3,000 ActivityPub plug-in installs.

Which means that on a per node basis, WordPress’s install base is appr. 25% comparative to the size of Mastodon’s install base.

If I were to hazard a guess, WordPress is now the 2nd largest Fediverse server software in terms of active nodes.

In terms of Fediverse server installs, it’s more than possible that WordPress could overtake Mastodon.

Nice to see an update from the WP Feature (former WP Notify) project! Apparently there’s a “ based system for displaying notifications” being worked on.

You can test w/ feature plugin.

Trying out the Spotlight-like ”Command Center” in (in Gutenberg plugin v15.6.

Nothing to see here. Move along. It's too early.

Keep using Turbo Admin!

Also: Why does WordPress have to name things differently to every other project? No one has a "Command Center”!
