This is Tiny Pants. She is a 6 mth old filly.
She is a palomino Appaloosa Thoroughbred.

She is being weaned this week. It makes for noisy evenings.

Her pants are not going to be tiny for long.

When the prosecution rests in the Manhattan case, I plan to read the transcripts so far looking for evidence that supports the elements of particular crimes.

This is my thing: Reading trial transcripts. My job was reading trial transcripts looking for appealable errors.

Shall I tell you my favorite moment in a transcript?

The defendant (yes, my client) walked in to court with baggy pants. The judge (a woman) was offended and angry. She thought the defendant was disrespecting her.

@Teri_Kanefield as a young man I was taken to task by a judge for having earings.

I had 2 studs in one ear. A lot of my friends had earings so I couldn't work out what the fuss was about.

I heard the judge quit 2 weeks after my visit saying he felt disconnected from the world around him.

My town lets you request street trees be planted anywhere you can keep an eye on them and water if needed. I am responsible for four trees on my block, and just requested three more. It's great to know that I'm literally throwing shade.

Meanwhile, in Australia, new house blocks are so small that you can't fit a tree and a house on the same block.

To add insult to injury new streets are so narrow that you have to park half on the curb meaning no trees in the street either.

Adulthood has its pros and cons.

On the one hand, there comes a time when you see people bearing grudges against you, even after months of not interacting with them, and you don't feel bad, your core emotional reaction is to feel sorry for them, for suffering in the dungeon in their minds they have built and sentenced themselves to.

On the other hand, no one asks you what your favorite dinosaur is anymore. People don't care.

It's triceratops you heartless bastards.

It all evens out I guess.

Our creek has been dry for months
This week we had about 100mm of rain.
It finished Friday.
Saturday evening I was felling dead trees into the dry creek bed getting ready for a bonfire.
Sunday morning we had been in and out. No water.
Sunday afternoon and the creek is filling.
Bye bye bonfire.
