@w7voa Honestly, i do not see much value in these debates. Each candidate, no matter who that person is, comes to the debts to use it as a platform to present his/her platform and possibly take a few swipes at the other candidate. Any actual debate on an issue is purely incidental.

@GottaLaff Another reason is that he is obviously in stage 3 of Alzheimer's and often does not even make sense. His vest defense at this point is to say he is unfit to stand trial.

@GottaLaff That is really sending a message. It also has a certain amount of danger. The Med is a small sea for these strike groups. They have very limited maneuvering room if something goes wrong.

Just reading through things I noted down that my daughter said. This one, from some years back, is a gem:

@jillrhudy @bookstodon Seeing the map made me buy the Kindle edition. I was going to eventually in any case. The e-book trilogy costs $24.95. B&N did not seem to have an e-book edition, just a paperback.

@Radical_EgoCom @rbreich The US has the most heavily armed population around. Many of the gun people support Trump, a wannabe dictator. What we have gotten is daily mass shootings by people who never should have had access to firearms. It also lets criminals access arms. In San Francisco, gangs loot stores as the employees stand by, afraid that if they interfere, they will be shot. Having reasonable gun regulations is never a perfect answer. But it is better than the alternative.
