weird how a speaker at a major conservative political conference calling for the end of democracy and the establishment of a theocratic authoritarian state is something i have to read about in goofy little niche websites and social media accounts because i can't find it in, like, the pages of a newspaper whose catchphrase is "Democracy Dies in Darkness."

Defense attorneys in Fulton County are having a field day with ' latest filings. The DA's office regularly uses cell phone data as evidence of a suspect's location in felony cases up to & including murder. Now defendants will be able to point to the DA's own arguments.

First of all, it's really dubious that Trump's expert even had the legal right to these records. Secondly, the admission is wrongly done, amateurishly done. Third, the same defenses against cellphone data can be applied in this case, as in other cases. It doesn't matter what the DA's arguments are in other cases.

And the fact that there's record of Willis being elsewhere at times when she was supposedly with Wade pretty much undermines the credibility of this data.

As a person living in Portugal for over 20 years now i can confirm. The biggest difference is we don't weaponize a drug addiction, and as michael moore showed in "where to invade next" it works to limit deaths and crime. Highly recommmend it!

Interesting to see both Labour MPs and Tories broadly condemn remarks by a couple of conservative MPs that are ubiquitous on the American right.

Liz Truss said the deep state was responsible for the head of lettuce outlasting her and another Tory claimed Sadiq Khan had let Muslims take over London. Wouldn’t raise an eyebrow on this side of the pond.

@GottaLaff Mostly because I think they have brokered a deal regarding the Hungarian Air Force fleet of Swedish built Jas39 fighters that they are leasing from Sweden but have neither maintained properly or paid for as originally stipulated (as goes the talk in some Swedish conversations)
