Was I fucking drunk when I designed this board? I completely missed 2 GPIOs to control a LED and a switch on the schematic, and I used the wrong SERCOM for the I2C lines which means I now need to swap SCL and SDA.

This thing is a fucking mess.

Safety message for those who got a 3D printer for Christmas: Congrats on your new toy, which you should know is also actually a pretty serious industrial robot.

If your printer has been commanded to move or heat up, your flesh does not belong within its bounding box.

Your 3D printer is faster than you, and is capable of burning a 250 degree hole in your hand and filling it with molten plastic before you sense something might be wrong.

Be safe, don't be on the news!

Time for #4 in This is a montage of 12 images taken in under 0.8 seconds on 9th January 2023. I drove for 100km, set up a telescope and managed to record the International Space Station crossing the spotty sun in less time than it took for my heart to beat once!

Do you ever think about abandoned tech trees? Like how no one is working to design better drafting compasses or vellum? No one is perfecting vacuum tubes. No one is laser focused on methods to speed paint and accurate portrait by hand to send out for marriage proposals.

Technological leaps make entire areas of research pointless— but

What if just a bit further down the line on the old tech tree there was some bigger breakthrough we’ll never see? I think about this A LOT.
