Both ends open up to 90⁰ and the main body expands and contracts about a centimetre.

A clever person has said that the object in the right is a Writescope telescoping mechanical pencil. Thanks!

I did it! One useful creation; a scarf to match my winter coat, crocheted with colour-pooling technique. It took a while, but it worked. Phew.

Day 23

First panel of the kitchen backsplash. The scenes are the views out our windows depicting the seasons and recent history of the land around us. This is early spring and the first of the farmers is clearing and working the land. The church was built in 1875 and is now our home.
