New 5-frame nuc picked up & installed yesterday. We've also relocated the location of the colony/hive to the garden area where it is easier to get to & it is warmer in the winter. Now I'm going to research & learn all about treating for mites. 🐝🐝🐝

Our tiny little 1-year-old ewe, Spinner, gave us the finest, crimpiest baby we've ever seen out of our flock. So fine, it's like thread. 😲 Someone will have a good time this fleece! 😌 @fiberarts

This cardinal 🐦 did this last year - attacking his reflection in the windows, until he bled. Finally he found a mate and settled down.

Well, he's back and at it again! Only this year, he is attacking multiple windows and driving the indoor cats absolutely nutz! 😂 He already has a mate and they are building a nest, but boy is he aggressive! 😳 Every time he has a go at the bedroom window, Summer smacks him from inside! 🤣

Introducing: Cream Cheese the Cat. He is a feral/stray that has been hanging about for the last year - we feed him & he has a heated bed in an old cat carrier on our front deck. He is slowly becoming more mouthy & friendly. 🙄 Soon we will catch him for a neuter.

This day last year, we were surprised when Gardenia gave birth to a black and white ram lamb we named Orca. He has atypical coloring- maybe some recessive genes coming out! We aren't this year, but I can't wait for shearing so I can get Orca's baby fleece off! 😁

@joy Here is Orca now. His black wool has bleached on the ends to more of a brown. Don't worry, he is still black and white underneath and hasn't lost his spots! 😄
