Dominion wind project gets final 2 permits

"The facility, 25 miles in the Atlantic off the Oceanfront, will have 176 turbines capable of generating enough electricity to power up to 660,000 homes.

The more than $9 billion project is due to come on line in 2026."

Nobody knows how many birds have been killed by any of those means, because it would be impossible to count them. It is an extrapolation from a small sample. Extrapolations are not facts; They are guesses.

Orla the golden retriever found her first beach sock of the season. They are rarely seen in early April, so we are very excited. The sandy underpants season doesn’t usually get going until mid-May.

A dear friend lost her senses of taste and smell to covid 16 months ago. She just rang me to say that halfway through chopping up a cabbage, her sense of smell suddenly returned. Never, she said, has a cabbage smelled so good.

My daughter has been sifting applicants for a graduate trainee post at the university where she works. She says they all have nearly identical AI-generated personal statements containing dross like “it would be a privilege to work for your esteemed corporation”. One of the key skills the job requires is ability to detect academic bullshit 🤔

3 questions on Brexit. Where are these mythical 'sunlit uplands' we were promised? If Brexit such an obvious failure, why are the Tories and Labour still afraid to admit that it is an obvious failure? Lastly if the Tories and Labour so out of step with both reality and the truth, why should any of us vote for them?

Brexit is the biggest ever single act of self-harm committed by any nation. Britain will never recover the position it once had. Everyone knows this, but it’s a very hard pill to swallow, particularly for the 16,141,241 voters who knew and understood this at the time. It still enrages me, and I will never forgive those responsible, including members of my own family.
