I hope the TV and film writers get everything they are asking for. Without them there’d be nothing to watch at all. And kudos for attempting to protect themselves against AI coming for their jobs. I wish graphic artists had similar power.

Reason 14,456 Mastodon is better than Twitter: Yesterday after Iran launched its massive missle and drone strike on Israel, Twitter was awash with FUD about how Biden had started WWIII.

I’m not kidding, the entire site was one conspiracy thread after another that world war 3 was about to start. Air traffic closed over Washington DC, Netanyahu had left Israel in the only jet allowed to fly there, accompanied by spurious screenshots of air traffic radar. It’s still happening NOW.

AI generated imagery truly is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

I’m so turned off by it these days it’s difficult to put into words. Not only is it depressing to see how so many have embraced it so quickly, but there’s just nothing about it I find inspirational in the least. It all looks and feels “the same”, because it is.

It’s junk in every sense of the word but it seems to be our prescribed “creative” future.
