Je suis à la recherche d'une entreprise pour entamer une alternance de 2 ans à partir de septembre.

Je suis actuellement en formation à l'école 42 Paris, et suite à un premier stage entreprise de 6 mois, je recherche donc maintenant des offres d'alternances. Ma recherche porte sur des offres localisés en région parisienne, ou qui proposent du full remote.

Je recherche en préférence une mission en lien avec le développement système ou le développement embarqué. Je reste cependant ouverte à toutes autres propositions, que ce soit de l'administration système, du devops, ou du développement logiciel tant que ça reste un domaine lié à l'IT.

J'ai des compétences dans une variété de languages de programmation ou de scripting différents, que ce soit C, C++, Assembleur x86-64, ou bien encore Javascript. De plus je suis familière avec divers logiciels tels que Linux, Docker, Docker Compose, ou encore Kubernetes.

Je suis capable de m'adapter et de me former très rapidement sur de nombreux sujets, et je sais bien parler anglais.

Je suis passionnée par la philosophie de l'open-source et du libre, une opportunité de travailler sur des projets open-source serait donc un gros plus !

Yep, they exist.

Folks like @starlabs in the UK, @tuxedocomputers in the EU, and @system76 in the US sell Linux machines that just work out of the box.

I see there's some sort of "how's Linux now" discourse going around Mastodon and so I'll give my brief summary:

To be blunt, Linux is just the least-shit option to run on your PC nowadays lol.

If you want a good start, try Kubuntu https://kubuntu.org/, I get along great with it. Familiar interface, without all the shovelled shit Microsoft constantly try to force on you. Same KDE Plasma interface Valve use for Steam Deck's Desktop Mode.

With more people considering #Linux after the latest #Microsoft #Windows news, here is my advice:

• Before looking at Linux at all, determine what proprietary software you're using in your workflows (MS Office and Adobe stuff being big ones) and try FOSS alternatives on Windows. (LibreOffice, OnlyOffice, Krita, GIMP, Inkscape, kdenlive, etc.) This will very much ease any future transition away from Windows. (1/7)

For those who aren’t aware, Microsoft have decided to bake essentially an infostealer into base Windows OS and enable by default.

From the Microsoft FAQ: “Note that Recall does not perform content moderation. It will not hide information such as passwords or financial account numbers."

Info is stored locally - but rather than something like Redline stealing your local browser password vault, now they can just steal the last 3 months of everything you’ve typed and viewed in one database.

Le mode sombre et le mythe de l'accessibilité (titre original "Dark mode & accessibility myth"), un article de @stephaniewalter où elle explique que le mode sombre pose des problèmes d'accessibilité à certaines personnes alors que tout le monde pense que le mode sombre serait mieux pour l'accessibilité…

Hé oui, ce n'est pas le cas pour tout le monde ! Elle sait de quoi elle parle, et moi aussi, parce que lire sur fond sombre est terrible pour nous.

La solution : laisser le choix entre mode clair ou mode sombre !

À noter qu'il est beaucoup plus facile pour les utilisateurices de changer un site qui ne laisse pas le choix en le passant du mode clair vers le mode sombre que l'inverse car les extensions pour passer au mode clair n'existent pas.

Donc si seul le mode sombre existe sur votre site web et que le mode lecture de Firefox n'est pas activable (il est activable sur les articles uniquement et des fois, sur certains articles, ça ne fonctionne même pas), je ferme votre site direct.

(PS : ne venez pas m'expliquer que vous avez besoin du mode sombre à tout prix. Il n'est pas dit ici qu'il ne faut pas avoir de mode sombre.)

Tient en ce moment je bosse pas mal sur la vulgarisation et l'usage de XMPP / Jabber

Est-ce qu'il y a des personnes qui ont déjà essayé XMPP ici ? Avec des clients comme Gajim, Dino, Conversations, Blabber, Monocles chat, etc et qui ont trouvé des choses mal faites ? Des choses importantes qui manquent ? Des petits détails à corriger ?

Hésitez pas à me le dire et je vais potentiellement voir comment c'est faisable si ça l'est à présent ou si ce n'est pas le cas voir si je peux proposer d'ajouter/corriger des choses sur les différents clients, ça peut aussi me servir à faire de la documentation ou des tutoriels

Car en ce moment je vois un peu plus de personnes se mettre à XMPP, surtout des personnes qui comprennent que l'écosystème n'est plus dans le même état qu'il y a 10 ans, et c'est cool !

Puis bon classique : le retoot bienvenu, tout ça tout ça …

(les messages de fans du produit Matrix seront par contre ignorés, pas le peine de les poster, merci)
