I would hope those on the left recognize this as a tangible improvement in US policy in the region. We can certainly want more and think this is not enough while also recognizing the progress (much of which is likely stemming from the recent pushback and protests).

This is a well reported piece but the framing is bizarre.

When a mob attacks a group of protesters under cover of darkness, they are not counter-protesting.

And as the reporting makes clear, they didn’t “provoke” violence, they perpetrated it as the cops and campus security stood by.

I find it weird that newspapers characterize students as being “pro-Palestinian” as opposed to anti whatever you call this.

I don’t think this should change anyone’s minds about anything, especially the protesters. But an instance like this were there are protests at colleges across the country, which has almost no effect on 99% of people’s lives, is exactly the kind of thing Trump would invoke the Insurrection Act over.

An hilarious side-effect of putting her medicine in pieces of hot dog (which she’s never otherwise had), is that our dog now thinks that hot dogs make her sleepy, so we just gave her a ‘placebo’ piece of hot dog, and she fell right asleep.
