Yo, if you live in Berlin and have a sunny balcony/garden/window. You can get a plug-in solar setup for basically free.
This city subsidy program gives you up to 500€ for a setup and most only cost you around 300-400€.
Its basically free electricity for your apartment/home.

KiCad needs funding for its next release cycle.
If you do PCB design, esp. if its your job, consider donating.

Even if you don't use KiCad yourself as your main tool (like myself) its still an incredibly important piece of infrastructure for the industry as a whole.

It was a lot of work the past months and a huge team effort but I'm extremely happy how the Badge for turned out!

I hope it will bring a lot of fun to people long after the event. It is a small hand held touch music instrument that runs Micropython.

OMFG, til why Windows Explorer is sometimes inexplicably slow when opening folders.
It's idiotic "folder type" auto discovery parses every damn file in the folder if the folder has not been determined before.
Which can be super slow for folders with thousandths of files.
You can only disable it via registry, after doing so everything is super snappy ffs:

Built a water level sensor for my irrigation systems water container. Shows current level in mm via the OLED and via WiFi for low level and leakage alerts.

Uses a pressure based industrial liquid level sensor which is really accurate and stable, fantastic sensor!

based firmware on a dev board. for UI.
MCP3421 for sensor readout/4-20mA conversion.

Came out great, no bridges, nothing shifted, despite needing to substitute some 0402 parts with 0603.

Did you know you can just rip the 3D models in the Ikea websites 3D viewer and import them directly into Unreal? It's very handy!
Just watch the network tab in the browser console, it should transfer a .glb file when you open the viewer.

Sometimes they are compressed with Draco (which Unreal does not support), in that case import and then export again as .glb in the three.js editor to remove the compression.
