@gamingonlinux This was unexpected. Also I foresee problems seeing that valve said with their own steam os that you had to get a license before you could distribute steam OS on your hardware (due to the steam software on it)
Finished Chants of Sennaar. Such a lovely experience that ran me around a dozen hours. It was my wind-down game after a hard day of touristing, all last week.
As @laurajnash noted on the latest @shortgame, it projects an unflagging mood of hope and positivity. The hero is a brave mender of fractured societies, not a vanquisher. The game is no less compelling for it. I love the light that it casts.
It just occurred to me that this game might have resonated with me more strongly because I would play it for a while after each day touring Budapest, surrounded by utterly inscrutable Hungarian writing. Perhaps that made me all the more receptive to a fantasy where one can become fluent in a foreign language within a few hours!
@gamingonlinux Played the first game, it was awesome. Haven't played this one yet but I've heard good things about it. Really looking forward to playing it
I'm not sure if it will pan out this way, but it feels like the #steamdeck is one of the most important devices of late for #pcgaming and #linuxgaming when you think about the AAA #gamedevelopment process.
So historically it's easier to develop for #consoles as you have a common spec to develop against so you know if it's going to run well. The deck easily could become the PCs common spec, giving a single lowest denominator that also can be used to verify #linux compatibility as well.
