Are there API calls to use the search from other instances? (Maybe even with limiting scope?)

I would suspect something like this is useful, and not everyone consuming ALL the fediverse just for search.

Most likely tho, someone will spin up a huge search instance.
(IMHO I totally expect that of heise to have an in house big search instance, sorry why do all and everyone expect others to run critical infra for them?)
