@thomas Very poor fit. SA Bayes plugin is not designed for portability and it is not terribly sophisticated. Most of SA’s effectiveness is in its hundreds of other rules and the feedback system.
I believe that there are other Bayes implementations that are more readily repurposed and more robust, such as supporting 2-token sequences.
@thomas in this case it would already help to not promote the biggest instance in the network as default and put more and more load onto their moderation team, which does not seem to scale well
@thomas If Mastodon had functioning search I'd be able to find the idiot who was telling me that Mastodon would never have a spam problem a couple of months ago.
They were asserting that the Fediverse would be better if everyone ran their own personal instances, and would not accept that meant that spammers would run riot because every user would have to be the instance admin responsible for blocking their own spam with no economies of scale.
